Mt. Ayr News As Taken From Current Issue of the Pilot.

John Duvall and wife, of Rensselaer, were guests Saturday and Sunday at the home of Edwin Harris. C. J. Baker has so far improved from the effects of his recent mix-up with the buzz saw, that he informs us he can now sit down to eat, instead of eating from the mantle shelf. Mrs. Olive Seward has sold her property at the northeast corner of town for SI,OOO to Harry Elijah, who will take possession of the same Boon. Mrs. Seward then purchased the Harris Martin property in the southwest part of town for S7OO. Harris will vacate about March Ist, after which time Mrs. Seward will reside in the house. A certain farmer (?) supposedly residing in the neighborhood of Rensselaer, last week sent a number of unsigned communications to the newspapers in this district, criticizing the 6 o’clock closing custom of the Rensselaer merchants. The letter was given space in several of our exchanges, but we shall refuse to publish the same until the writer divulges his identity.
