Information Card Being Issued by Rensselaer Fire Department.

Fire Chief Montgomery is having a fire plug and telephone card printed that will be of great value in case of a fire in letting the public know where the fire is. The card first shows the fire plug number, then the names of the nearest cross streets, then the name of the nearest residence to the fire plug and finally the number of the telephone nearest the fire plug. The cards will be out within a few days and it is hoped to sell enough of them to pay the cost of their issue, They should be in every house in town, and when the fire alarm is given the fire may be located by consulting the card after getting the fire plug signal.
