For the cure of Hepatites or l.izer Com,plrint. Dyspepsia and Sick Head-Ache. SYMPTOMS OF A DISEASED LIVER. P.:in in the right side, under the edge of the ribs, increased on pressure; sometimes the pain is in the left side, sometimes the pain is telt under the shoulder blade, it frequently extends to the top of the shoulder, and is sometimes mista ken for the rheumatism in the right arm. The stomach is affected with loss of appetite and sickness; the bowels, in general are costive, sometimes alternating with lax, the head is troubled with pain Bccompnnied with a doll, heavy sensation in the back part. There is generally a considerable loss of memory, accompanied "with a painful sensation of haing left undone something which ought to have been done. A slight dry cough is sometimes an attendant. The patient complains of weariness and debility he is easily startled, his feet are cold or burning and ho complains of a prickly sensation ot the skin ; his spirits are low ; and although he is satisfied that exercise would be beneficial to him. yet tie can scarcely summon up fortitude enongh tntryit. Tti fact, he distrutts every remedy. Several of the above symptoms attend ihe disease but cases have occurred where lew of them existed, yet examination of the body after death, has shown the liver to have been extensively deranged. SMITH'S IMPROVED INDIAN VEGETABLE SUGAR COATEl) PILLS, has induced a number of persons to make something they call pills and coat them w ith s ugar, in order to sell them for the genuine, while they do not possess a particle ol the goodness, nor oven assimilate in appearance to the original, Dr. Smith's Pills. In short, ihey are an intended FRA UD upon the community. A minister who at first had an interest in an imitation Sugar Coated Pill, manuta!ured in Albany, N. Y.. has given them up, as he says, on account ol the miserable dishonest parties concerned in manulacturing them. ' The same party are now industriously circulating reports calculated tot injure Dr. Smith and to atlecl the reputation ol his valuable pills; but rather then notice them in public, Dr. Smith is about to institute legal proceedings against them lor their slanders, as he has in another case against a similar party, in which he recovered a large amount ot damacts.
