Comment on such evidence is unnecessary. New York, July 25, 1844. Messrs. Sands: Gent. 1 consider it but an act of justice to you, to state the following (acts in reference to the great benefit 1 have received, in the cure ot an obstinate cutaneous ulcer on mv breast. " - . I was attended eighteen months by a regular snd skilful Physician, assisted by the advice ana cuoneci vt w rcu xj ,sut i.iww. ti .ntt.vt ienced Surgeons without the least benefit what' ever. All the venous metnoas ot treating can cer were resorted to; for live weens in succes sion my breast was burned with caustic three times a day, and lor six it was daily synugeu with a weak solution of nitric acid, and the . ca vitv or internal ulcer was so large that it held over an ounce ot the solution. The Doctor pro bed the ulcer and examined the bone, and said the disease was advancing rapidly to the Lungs and if 1 did not get a speedy reliel by medicine or an operation the result wouldbe fatal. I was advised to have the breast laid open and the bones examined, but finding no relief from what had been done, and feeling I was rapidly getting worse, 1 almost despaired of recovery and considered my case nearly hopeless. Seeing various testimonials and certificates of cure by the use of ''Sands' Sarsapanlla" in cases similar to my own, I concluded to try a few bottles, several which were used, but Irom the long, deep seated character of my disease. produced no very decided change; consiaering "is as the only probable cure for my case I perlevered, until the disease was entirely cured. It is now over eleven months since the cure was completed: there is not the slightest appearance of a return. I therefore pronounce myself well, snd the cure effected by Sands' Sarsatiarilla, as I took no other medicine of any kind during the timo I was usinsr iu nor have I taken any since Please excuse this long deferred acknowledg ment, which I think it my duty to make, xour valuable Sarsaoarilla cured me with the blessing of Divine Povidence, when nothing else could, and I feel myself under lasting obligations to you. 1 can say many tnings I cannot write, ana I do most respectfully invite ladies afflcted as I have been, to call upon me and I will Satisfy them fully of the truth as stated above, and many other things in rcierence to me case IS AINU X J. iUll.AjE.tS.. 218 Sullivan street For further particulars and conclosive evi dence ot its superior value and efficacy, see pamphlets, which msy be obtained gratis. rrcpared ana sola wnoiesaie aim teiuu, uy A. THOMAS. COZENS. Affirmed before me on the 29th day of Ap'l '43, J. CLEMENT. Q- We publish no fictitious statement. (gj- Anther remarkable instance of the curative properties of Dr. Wistar's Balsam. This ease is reported to us by Messrs. Joslin St Rowe, highly respectable Druggists, and Pby- - sieians, N ewark, Ohio. 1 Burlington, Licking co. December 1,1843. Messrs. Justin At Rowe: About t.ve years ago, Mrs- Wimer was attacked with a violent cough, pain in the chest and side, and eymtoms of approaching consumption. During the inter val irom that nine lo some time in t eoruary issi she has been treated by emiueut phyeicians with only partial relief of the most, urgent symptons. About one year ago, she caught a most violent cold, which scaled upon the lungs, producing an alarming aggravation of all her previoussyniptons. Her physician was sent lor and despite li i a best efforts, she began rapidly to sink uuder " this disease. Cough, Expectoration, Hectic together with Right sweats, soon reduced her to a complete skeleton. In February last, her attending Physician, deeming hst case altogether i n i i r. uopeiess, a couucit was ca-ieu, luuiucr ueiio. crating upon her case, unanimously pronounced her to be beyond the reach of means, aud expressed their opinion that she could survive but a short time, one id tsvo weeks at farthest. She was at this time entirely confined to her bed, and scarcely able to articulate, except in a whisper. Her daily paroxysms of coughing would last her uiiinterronteillv from 3 to 5 hours, and so severe were they, '.hat wc did expect that every paroxysm would be the last. It was' at this last ex treuiity that we happened to obtain a phampUlet', describing Doctor Wistar's Balsam ot Wild Cher ry, as applicable to the lung affections. I immediately sent to you aud procured a bottle, and commenced its use at evening by giving her on teaspoon full, and such was its ultimate effect, that after taking five bottles, she was, contrary to the expectations ol her physicians, and every one who saw her, ehsirely restored to health! and since last summer, has done the entire work of htr family. Alter the last attack of Mrs. Wimer. our youngest child, then an infant at the breast, was taken down, and rapidly siuking with the same symptoms as lis mother, and seeing the happy effect ol the Balsam- in the case ol the mother, we were disposed to make trial of it for the child, and it was attended with the same per fect success. . - . The above statement can be attested by 'our physicians as well as our neighbors and acquaint -ances, whd saw Mrs.' Wimer during the course of her sickness. Very truly, yours, ate.
