Ui breast. - , , I was attended eighteen mouths by a regular and skilful Fhysician, assisted by the advice and counsel of one of our most able and experienced,Surgeons without the least benefit whatever. All the various methods of treating cancer were resorted to; for five weeks in succes sion my breast was burned with caustic three limes 'a dav, and for six it was daily syringed vrii'n a weak solution of nitric acid, and the cavity or internal ulcer was so large that it held oy-r'Ui ounce o( the solution. The Doctor probed tbtr ulcer and examined the bone, and said the ii lease was advancing rapidly to the Lungs and if I did not gel a speedy relief by medicine or au operation the result would be fatal. I was advised to have the breast laid open and the bones examined, but finding no relief from what had been done, and feeling I was rapidly getting worse, I almost despaired oi recovery and considered my case nearly hopeless.
