Pag-The military authorities at Indianapolis have lately arrested, and now have in close confinement, a mas by the name of Sippey, who is supposed to be implicated in the conspiracy to assassinate President Lincoln and other officials. The order for bis arrest was forwarded to Indianapolis by the Secretary of War. - X'BAMKi, Capt. i. G. We are iudebted to onr attentive young friend, Wm. H. Axe of Nashville, for a copy of the first number of a new paper jast issued in that city, entitled the " Colored Ttnntatuan." It is edited and pablished by W. B. cott, Sr., a colored man, who, in hi salutatory ' and in the general tone of tbe paper, exhibits considerable ability. There are several papers now being published by colored men, and others will no doubt be established. While on the train to Richmond, a couple of weeks ago, Gen. Stone introduced na to John P. Sampson, proprietor of the Colored Citizen, published in Cin cinnati. He is a light mulatto, is well educated, and appeared to be generally well informed, tie spoke very encoura gingty of his enterprise, saying he was meeting with a success far beyond hi expectatio ns. The Vincennee iS'un is tbboritig to bi?w that the assas m nation ot rresident Lincoln was brought about by abolitionists, and quotes an extract from a speech of Charles D. Also th declaration; of" ai arjny officer, who de dared that if tbe President attempted to compromise with traitors in arms, that his command would become assassins, and march to the White House, solitary and, along i. These were -foolish expres sions, but they contained none of tha fiendish spirit that prompted tbe editor of the Sun, in noticing the fact that one of the editor of this paper, was going into the service with the 100 davs' men to express the hope tbat he would not live to return t his home and family. It was th teachings of men capable of expressing such a- malignant wish as that, which led lo th assassination of Mr. Lincoln. A WrFB Knxs Hvbbasd. A man named Janres Halligman was killed by bis wife in St. Louis, on Wednesdav, in a drunken row. In the melee the wo. man struck him on the forehead with a pitcher, causing a fracture and deprer sion of the outer table of the skull, from which injuries he immediately' died. 'He leaves the murderess and three children. ewin tegTAnother mercantile lirin of New York baa added it proffer of $10,000 toward the half million fund proposed to be offered for the capture of Jeff.
