Draft Tba Vincennee GatttU, of Saturday last, gives an account of bow two conservative chape, members of tbe mackerel club of that city, managed to escape tbe draft and pat a little money ioto their parses. A family were arrested some time e-o for stealing, and tbe property was fuuad ia their wagon, and portion of the family at least, perhaps all of the m, were lodged ia iaiL Among tbe mem bers at tha familv was a vocoz man fit rf av v ( for a soldier, physically. . Oae of Use conservative ehaps above mentioned, eooceived tbe happy idea' of using this thief for bis own benefit, and so contracted with this jail-bird to enter the army as his eobetitste, Bondition tbat the conservative chap would bail him oat of jail by depositing with tbe proper authorities tbe amoant of his bail, $500, said conservative to draw tha bounty money with which to pay the bail when declared forfeited, and to pay biro self for bis Vindaess to the jail-bird. Tba proffer was readily accepted, and this thief now represents this Kuox county Democrat in tbe Union armv. The other Democrat made a like arrangement with a horse-thief whom tbe farmers of tbe upper part of the county bad chased down aad lodged in, jail, attar loaing several horses, maoj days of their lima and speeding some J00 of their money, and as a result this horeetbief now represents Knox county Democrat, No. 2, in the ranks of the army.
