An inveterate and accomplished swin dler, whose real name . is Nelson Anthony, but who generally personates the President of one of our Providence hanks, or claims to bare a connection with him, is traveling through varices western States swindling every-Rhode Island man he can hear of, and feeling no seruples against taktng in an occasional Buckeye or Hooser. His plan is to borrow money npon a plea that he haa been robbed or lost hia pocket-boct, promising ta refund as soon as ha reaches Chicago, where he says he has funds.
