House On motion of Mr. Hubbard, of Con a., the Secretary of tho Navy was called upon to furnish all the facts relative to the bursting of our guns in the recent attack oa Wilmington. Ambrose W. Clark introduced a joint resolution, having in view the appointment of disabled seamen and soldiers to the public departments. Referred to Judiciary Department Call of California offered a joint resolution teudering a vote of thanks to Maior Gen. Sherman, and the officers and men under him, which was referred to the Committee on Military Affairs. Stevens offered a resolution instructing the Committee on Ways and Means to inquire into the expediency of reporting a bill to prevent combinations being formed to raise the price of coin and depreciate the value of lawful money of the United Slates. He made a speech showing the action on the part of Great Britain to correct similar evils. Stevens said he did not intend to ask legislation on his own resolution. Blair briedy replied, saying the judgment of England was different from that stated by the Government as to the effect of anti-speculating legislation.
