These questions were so framed to gife tb said editor or editors an opportunity to reconcile, br original or borrowed logic and eaaoUtry, aoH by Biblical quota tion (which seems to be tho Reporter '$ peculiar fort; when it is defending alarcry, on the principle of tbe "Defil quoting Scripture"), the holding of h roan beings as slsTes, and th genteel robbery of tbe fruits of their labor by th master, with tbe laws of meum and tuumt ana tne principles ot toe women nuir. Instead of replying to onr queries and thas reconciling Slavery with ab stract right and eternal trutb, the Re porter dodA our question, and instead of answering them, proposes a string of queries to ns. Onr questions ceuld have been answered in tbe space tbat is derotp.d to those proposed in reuponte, Hut perhiis ours eould not be anctred by the Reporter, even with the aid o' the Bible and Concordance. This is our inference and must be the general conclusion. If the Reporter and ita friends tbe laYeholdeis and their dependent are atisfied with the failure of their apolojriat to aniwer legitimate and reasonable question, we are. If they approve of tbe Yankee mode, of angwering questions by Bulling othera, we are, and shall give answers to tbe questions propounded to us. If we tread on the toes of any of our Kentucky neighbors, lbey must blame their " Secesh" apologiat and the vulnerability and inherent injustice of thair pet evitem. Reporter' $ ltt Qastion "Do you think tbe negro is entitled to the same right and privileges as white men? If so, is he your equal?" We think that every human being i entitled to that which the Declaration of American Independence cluitn for V all men " as an.ongt thair " inalienable rights " via., "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." We hold, alto, that every man and woman, whatever their eolor may be, is entitled to (he one and enjoyment of the fruits of their labor, and the proceeds of their tkill and induitry ; and that the appropriation of their wages by any self-con-tituted "matter" or "milri" ii nothing thort of genteel robbery. And tbe robbery is but little mo'!i6et by the fact tbat the slave are allowed food enough to sustain life, with sufficient clothing to cover their oakednesa, and medicine when siek. Pay everybody the wage they earn, and giva them liberty, and allow them to support themselves in their own way, and enjoy freedom. As for the iqnality, the Declaration says: " We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal," etc. Is the Declaration of Independence good authority with the ReporUr, or only a "glittering generality?" The preamble of tbe Constitution of the United State sets forth that "We, the people of the United States, in order to lorra a more perfect onion, eetabliih justice," c, " do ordain and eatabliih this Constitution," Ac. Is it just to oppress and rob of their labor four million of people who are human, have souls, and whom the Reporter think it all right to baptise and receive into the Church ? If all men were created equal, what have th negroes done to forfeit their right to be free and to njoy the fruit of their labor ? If tha North prevail in this struggle, out population will remain white; but if the South, or mulatto-breeding portion of the Union prevail, we rather think tbat tho "half-breed nigger" will become the type of tho American of the future under plantation control Whero is Miscegenation practiced ? Not in the North, but where slavery exists. So will it ever be. Why, the Democracy of tho Nation even honored Miscegenation by electing Dick Johnson, who had a negro wife and halfbreed children, to tho Vice Presidency. 3d Question" Do you think tho Constitution should control the action of officers of tho Government, who are sworn io support is, waen those officers are abolitionist T" . Yes, the Constitution should control the action of all officers of tho Government 4th Question " Is it any more harm to steal a horse from a citizen of Indiana, than it is for an abolitionist to steal a Jisntuckian's negro?"
