OA TUESDAY. .....NOVEMBER SO, ISoS WEEKLY MARKET UEPOET. Fixasciai.. In finance the wind continues to blow steadily rrom ouo quarter, Intonating as it whistles through tha crac'xs and crevloe3 of cDinaiercial enterprise the saiAe old inexorable chant, more money ! "more money! more money! White money at CIncinnait and other points West commands from 13 per cent, per annum to 2 pel cent, per moath readily, our banks so far have not gone outside of 12 per cent I jr new loans or renewals. The stringency in money Is so great tha we hear of pork, contracts having been cancelled and forfeited by operators in the country for reason ol their inability to raise the money. The supply of Exchange on New Yo:k and Cincinnati, is better than at our lust report, bat salliag ia!e3 are not changed. The banks draw oa New York at 150 perSl.000; Cincinnati at 1 03 per S1.C00. Gold continues to weaken, and Is buying at 122a, and selling at 12o. There is also a stead decline in Governments, supet induced partially by the tightness oi the money market and accelerated by the consequent desire of holders to realize In order to Invest In enterprises and securities paying a larger dividend. Of late, Insurance cornpaniei and savings banks all through the East have thrown npoa the market considerable amounts of government bonds, Investing the proceeds la more lucrative securities. Dried Fruit Is higher. Broom Corn is in fair demand, and we report a sale on Saturday of one ton at glO. Eggs are fearfully high, and rule at 35337,o per dozen, and dealers might do a " handsome thing" by shipping to this market. High wines have slightly declined. The Grocery market has been quite active, and good sales were made at previous quotations. The Drug market bas been good, but figures are unchanged. The Hat and Cap trade has been firstrate, and our city mainlaius Its great trade In th is business. Evansville is one of the greatest Boot and Shoe markets in the West.
