FLUID EXTRACT BUCHU. Mankood. In the young and rising generation the vegetative powers of life are strong, but in a few yea 8 how often the pallid .hue, the lack-lustre eye and emaciated form, and the impossibility of application to mental effort, show its baneful influence. It Boon bt comes evident to the observer that some depressing iuiluence is checking the development of the boJy, , Consumption is talked of, and perhaos the you h Is removed from ichool tmd sent into the country. This is one of ihe worst movements. Removed from ordinary diversions of the ever-changing cen s of the city, the powers of the body too mm h euteebled to give zest to fcealthiul and rural exercise, thoughts are turned In wards upon themselves. If the patient b 1 a female, the approach ot ine rneusc-s is looked for with anxiety, as the first symptom iu which Natural to show her saving power in diffusing the circuitiou aud vial. ing the cheek with me Dioom ol health. A las !. increase of appetite has iwwn by what it lea on: Ihe euerg es of the system are prostrated, and the whole economy Is deranged. The beantiin. and wouderful period In which body and mind undergo so fascinating a change from child to woman, is looked for in vain; the parent's, heart bleeds in anxiety, and fancies the grave tout waiting for its victim. HELMBOLD'S EXTRACT BUCHtTjfor Wealiiresn arising from exees-es orarly indiscretion, attended with Urn following symptoms: Indisposition to Kxertlon, Iiss of I'ower, Jj-ms of Memory, Dilliculty of Breathing, General Weakness, Horror of Disease, Weaa Nerve. Trembling, Dreadul Horror of Death, Nignt Sweats, CoM Feet, Wakefulness, Dimness m Vislou, Iungour, iJnivei s.il Lassitude of the Muscu lar System, often Enormous Appetite with Dyspeptic Kym items. Hot Hands, Flushing of the Body, Dryness of the Hkln, Pallid Couutenanoe and Kruptions on tlie Face, Pain in the Back, Heaviness of Ihe Kyelids, frequeutly BlacSc Spots flying hefore the Eyes, with temporary !-utfusioa and Loss of Sight, Want of Atteiitrwi; Great Mobility, HestleRsneM, with Horror of Society. Nothing is raoro rtesirab:e to such patients than solitude, and nothing no repose of manner'yiO" f?'riiiJyi speculatiou, but a hurried transition from one question to another. These symptoms, if allowed to go on which this medicine invariably removessoon fohow Loss ot Power, Fatuity, and tpileptlc Fits, in one of which the.patien may expire. During the superintendency of Dr. Wilson at the Bioomingdaie Asylnm, this sf.d result occurred to two patients. Reason had ior a time left them, and both died ot epilepsy. 'J hey were of both sexes; and about twenty years of age. Who can say that these excesses nre not frequently followed b7 thoise direful diseases. Insanity and Consumption? The recoids of th- insane asylums, aud Hie melancholy deaths by cooisumptlou, bear ample witness to Ihe truth .f these assertions. In lunatic asylums tho most melancholy exhibition appears. The 'countenance is actually sodden aod quite destitute ; neither mirth ncr grief ever visits It. Hhouid a sound of tho voice occur, it is rarely articulate. " With woeful measures, wan Despair: Lowkullen sounds tbfcir grief beguiled."
