The river, during the twenty-four hours ending at 3 p. m. yesterday, had fallen three feet, and is declining with extraordinary rapidity. - Arrival ! part ares. The arrivals and departures up to 3 p. ir. yesterday include the Nick Wall, Pittsburg to Fort Benton ; Minneola. Memphis to Cincinnati; Melnotte, St. Louis to Cincinnati; Fanny Brandeis, from Nashville; Robert Moore, Nashville to Cincinnati; Mollie Norton, Henderson to return; Sallie V., Mount Vernon to return ; Itob- . ert Fulton, f rom the coal banks ; Rose Ilite, Louisville to return. Among : the first boats due here are the Quickstep, from Cairo ;vLewellin, from Eastport; Clifton and Norman, from Memphis; Silver Moon, for Memphis; John Kilgour and Nick Longworth, for New Orleans; Robert E. Lee, Belle Lee, Louisiana, and Virginia, from New Orleans; the Havana, from Nashville; Shamrock, from St. Louis; Morning Star, from Louisville; Anna, for St. Louis; the Emma Floyd, for Nashville; Hartford, from Green River; Cora S., for Arkansas River. jtiMeclIrtneoa. Business was rather active on the levee yesterday, arrivals being rather numerous, and all the boats doing a fair business.... The Romeo, Armada, Fanny Braadeis, aod Robt. Moore were discharging large cargoes of tobacco, aggregating over 400 hogsheads. The Robt. Moore had 121 hogsheads for this place, consigned to R. K. Dunkerson & Co The Minneola had a good up; trip. She discharged a lot of shrubbery here, which was reshipped to Louisville by the Melnotte, which boat added some 50 tons here, and was well loaded. The Nick Wall, a new mountain boat, passed down with a full cargo The Mollie Norton had a snlendid triD up. includioz 25 or 30 hogsheads of tobacco and 1,000 bags of cora The Cumberland and Ada Lyon were receiving fairly, and each would have a good trip Our clever old friend Captain Nat. F. Drew , is in the .city, defending a ' lawsuit against the Linton for sinking a boat loaded with corn in tow of the Crescent City The Sallie V. arrived at 11 o'clock, with a number of passengers -The famous Belle Lee left New Orleans for Evansville and Louisville on Saturday evening last. The atmosphere was full of enow at noon yesterday, giving one a shiver to contemplate it. Boats Leaving? To-Day. Fob Caieo. The grand Armada , is the regular and popular packet for Cairo to-day at 4 r.M. Captain Gus. Dusouchet, Billy Fowler and Geo. Nichelson are her unsurpassed officers. The Armada has unsurpassed passenger accommodations, and gives through bills and through tick- - eta to all points Siuth and West. For Louisville. The magnifi cent Morniag Star goes to Louisville and all way ports at 8:30 P. M. Capt A. T. Gilmore commands, and lleary Mitchell is her clever clerk. Foa Henderson. Capt. Charley Perkins tarns the Mollie Norton loose at 4 o'clock for Henderson, and she is a stunner. A. O. Durland and Master C. H. Boyle do the honors of the office. The Mollie aud her offi cers are immensely popular. For Mt. Vernon. The Sallie V., a neat and pretty boat, le.ives for Mt Vernon and all way landings at 3p.m to-day. Captain Moses Wallen commands, and Louis Coleman ha charge of the office, and both are aff ible and obliging. Fob Nashville. The fair-famed Fanny Brandeis is the regular packet for Nashville at 4 o'clock to-day, aud has admirable passenger appoint ments.
