Went tier null Water The weather yesterday was cloudy and mild, with an occasional sprinkle of rain, and strong indications of wet weather. The river was about stationary and literally bank-full, being about 9 feet below high-water mark of 1S67. It is falling rapidly above, and will be found falling here to-day. Unless we have heavy and general rains, a rapid decline will ensue. Arrival nd Departure. The arrivals and departures up to 3 P. M. yesterday include the Kate Robinson, St. Louis tc Cincinnati; Silver Moon, Memphis to Cincinnati; Emma Floyd, to Cincinnati; Fanny Brandeis, from Nashville; Mollte Norton, Henderson, to return ; Raven and barges, Cairo to Kanawha; Sallie V., Mt. Vernon, to return; John Kilgour, New Orleans to Louisville. Boats Itie. Anong the first boats due here are the Lev cllin, and Sam. Quickstep, from Cairo; from Eastport; Norman, J. Hale, from Memphis; Clifton, for Memphis; Mary Houston, P. W.Strader, Indiana and Nick. Longworth, for New Orleans; Belle Lee, Louisiana.Westmoreland, Louisville and Richmond, from New Orleans; Robert Moore and Romeo, from Nashville; Lawrence and Melnotte, from St. Louis; Morning Star, from Louisville; Shamrock, for St. Louis; Havana, for Nashville; Hartford, from Green River; Charmer, from Cincinnati. Miscellaneous. Business was rather lively on the levee yesterday. The Kate Robinson and Silver Moon passed up. The former full and the latter with a moderate trip The Emma Floyd did not get away till near 11 o'clock, having taken a large amount of freight here. The Courier eays, how ever, that she left after a brief stay. ! Seventeen hours are not considered a brief stay by steamboatmen generally The Fanny Brandeis came in at lOJ o'clock with a full cargo of tobacco and miscellaneous freight. We are glad to see Captain Miller and Kitt. Rudd building up a fine trade. The Brandeis was crowded with people merchants coming here to buy goods. She returns to Nashville today, and we hope to see her go out full The Mollie Norton had 24 hogsheads of tobacco, some miscellaneous freight and a large number of passengers -...The Cumberland, Romeo and Clara Scott were filling up pretty well The Cairo packets, on Monday, issued posters announcing, that until further notice, they would carry passengers to Mt. Verncn at fifty cents each, and freight at ten cents par hundred. This should induce a heavy travel, and large ship ments. If the boats can stand it the people can The Sallie V. arrived at noon from Jut. Vernon witn a moderate trip. She has been put in complete prder, and looks extremely handsome Capt. Frank 4- Oakes is loading the Alaska for Pittsburg The John Kilgour arrived at 1 p.m. with a moderate trip. The grand Morning Star, Capt. A. T. Gilmore, is tua regular and unsurpassed packet for Louisville and all way landings at G o'clock this evening. Henry Mitchell is her pleasant aud obliging clerk, and all her appointments are first ela-. Fi.r Henderson The fleet and fineH- appointed Mollie Norton is the regular railroad transfer packet, and le-iws for Henderson at four o'clock , promptly, having elegant accommodations for passengers. Capt. Charley Perkins, A. O. Durland and C. 11. ii jyle, are her popular and obliging officers. For Mt. Vernon. The beautiful clipper, Sallie V., splendidly appoiut-e-l and swift as an eagle, leaves for Mt. Yeriion promptly at 5 P. M. Captain Wallen, a gentleman of the old school, commands, aud Lou. Coleman, an at tentive aud obliging gentleman, has charge of the office. For Nashville. The clipper c.t earner Fanny Brandeis is the regu lar uaeket for Nashville and all way ports at 4 o'clock this evening, having pleas-ant accommodations for passengers. Captain Henry Miller and Kitt Rudd, young men of our city, experienced steamboatmen and obliging gemlemeu, are her chief officers, and deserve a liberal patronage. Eugene Rudd is her attentive and accurate f reight clerk. For New Orleans. The great steamer Indiana, deservedly a great favorite with the traveling public, is announced for New Orleans and'all way ports at 4 p.m. to-day.
