The Cumberland had a magnifi cent trip The Lewellin had a moderate trip. Her prospects for a good trip out are rather flattering. The Tarascon took out an ex cellent trip of people and considerable freight.. The Quickstep was getting a full cargo. While the water is low and business dull, Capt. Dexter will put on another boat in place of the Quickstep, while the latter under goes some Blight but needed repairs. The Melnotte had. a very good trip on herself and barges.. The tomeo went to Newburg yesterday for a lot of freight for Memphis. Capt. J. B. Hall takes her out on this trip, having a large acquaintance all along the coast hence to Memphis. Capt. Alf. Sho was abandoned and partially wrecked, when the insurance companies, through their agent, took possession of her, and succeeded in getting her afloat, t he was brought to St. Louis, docked and repaired, and tendered to the owners. The plaintiff provea that tho repairs were insuiacient to render her as good as w hen sho sunk, and tint an unreasonable length of time wp.s consumed in the work, whereby the owners suffered considerable loss.
