If we were to tare to drinking sand-bars down here, what would you do for a market for your great staple and chief dependence. If sand-bars were substituted for Bourbon, Louisville would be as badly off as Pittsburg without a coal market. The Democrat says : The Ada Lyon, an Evansville boat, has been leased out to run a circus company EBusiness is brisk at Evansville (?). If tne managers of the Green River locks would keep them in order, so that the river c mid be navigated, the Lyon would have plenty of business, as well as our other three or four Green river packets, but these boats can do the business hence to Rumsey, the present head of navigation.
