Sliller restrained himself, however, and made a complaint against Herwig before Justice Walker, who, after hearing the testimony, required him to pay a fine of $1, with $6 45 costs. - Herwig declared his purpose to appeal the case to a higher Court, and talked loud and long of his superiority to niggers, declaring that he was born white, had lived a white man, and declared most emphatically his purpose to ' die' a white man; which latter feat he will no doubt accomplish, if he has. luck. .i"-Ts
