John Randolph's Sarcasm. Randolph's sarcasm was always withering, , and eoinetimes his very look, or even silence was annihilating. On motion of Coun cllruaa Reitz, seconded by Councilman Miller, the following order, was unanimously adopted and passed; , . - Ordered, that six weeks public notice, by advertising in the Evansvilie Daily Journal, be given, that on the 18th day of February, 1867,. the Common Council of the City of Evansvilie will make an order to widen Water or Front.Street of said City,, so as to embrace in said street all the ? ;round embraced and contained in theollowing lines, to wit: The line on the northeast side of said Water i or Front Street to commence at the most southerly point of Lot 15, Horfiby's Enlargement of the City of Evansvilie, being the same point where' the northwest side ot Leet Street intersects the northeast side of Wa ter Street, as said Water Street is now laid out in front of said Hornby's .
