The Louisiana was momentarily expected as this report closed......-..The Tarascon and Mary Ament had but little freight, and' were , not crowded with .people The , America, from Saint Louis, and the Armadello both had good trips. . ........ The Nashville had a moderate trip......... The Superior got a good deal of hay and some miscellaneous freight, and was- full of people.i...The J. P. Webb .left last evening with a -very, handsome trlp freight purchased entirely in this city. Our Cumberland River trade is very good, but might, , we, think, be increased The Wm. White picked up a nice trip for Green River and left last evening. Among her passengers was Maj. Gen. D. C Buell, who goes to visit the Alexander : Iron Works, in which he is interested, and which will probably soon again be put in operation, adding largely to the trade of Green River..... We are Indebted to the officers of the Tarascon and Mary Ament for latest up-river papers. Boat Leavlnsr To-Day. ; Fob Cairo. The celebrated ,Armada, Capt. J. V. Throop, Is the regular packet for Cairo to-day. The Armada is justly popular; and Is one of the pleasantest boats to travel by on the river. Her state rooms are large and well ventilated, with soft clean bedding. Captain A. Liter is a trteran steamboat; man, and he and Mr. Caffery, his chief clerk, will give their especial attention to the comfort of their guests. ' The great Tarascon also goes to Louisville this morningi and is. "not surpassed in fine appointments and the luxury of her table, to which department Dabneyi Page gives his personal attention; The chief officers of the Tarascon are those elegant and popular gentlemen, Capt. Jim Lusk, John Pendleton, and Arthur Field, all experienced, affable and highly sociable. . , This evening the Ella Faber is the regular mail-boat for Louisville. Capt. Edwards, will return to Green Rrver this evening. She has fine passenger accommodations,' is clipper-built, and a fast sailer. Hre it has receded 10 inches during the 34 hours ending last night, with 18 feet hence to IXHiisville. There is 4 feet rn the canal. The Golden Eagle left for Memphis with a barge in tow. . ' ('apt. Charles David has concluded his repairs to the Dumont, and she looks like a new boat.
