THE GREAT ACCLIMATING ' TONIC. Wherever Hostetter'3 Stomach Bitters, the celebrated American prevention of Climatic Diseases, have been Introduced into unhealthy regions, their effects in Hustaining the health, vigor, and animal spirits of those whose pursuits subjected them to extraordinary risks from exposure and- privation, have been wonderful. In the army, the superiority of this article over every other invigorating and altera tive medicine has become so manifest where used, that it is relied upon, exclusively, as a protection against Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, and Bowel Com plaints of every kind. .The soldiers say it Is the only stimulant which produces and keeps up a healthy habit of body In ub wholesome locations. For the unacclimated pioneer and settler it is the most reliable of all safeguards against sickness, Throughout the United States it" is consid ered the most health il and agreeable of all tonics, and altogether unequaled as a aemedy for Dyspepsia. The medicinal ingredients are all vegetable, and are held in solution by the most wholesome stimulant known the Essence of Rye. " Hostetter's Bitters" .are manufactured at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and no less than 50,000 dozen bottles are sold annually by druggists. v may24 dlw : ' ' ' ". ' . ' ' : 7-' SPECIAL NOTICE. ', . After a military service of thirteen months, embracing the Pea Ridge campaign and battle,! I was discharged from the service and came home to die. About four weeks ago I was fortunate enough to procure your "Cedron Bitters," and by the nse of them alone I have been restored to perfect and robust health. I can most earnestly recommend them as being all, and more than all, they are recommended to be. You are at liberty to make any use you wish of- this statement. ' - i j . . -. . I am, respectfully. ' The-Gibson County i MurdebI'- j We made 'mention of the murder : of I a, man which - occurred i in Gibson County, a . few days since. At the time we were unable to learn the names of the parties, or the facta in the case. The murdered man was name Baldwin, and the murderer, Wade. A family feud had, existed a long time, and was the cause of the trouble. The murder was committed at a school house, in what is called the Barrens in that county. - It appears that Baldwin had gone to the school house, at which a singing school was being held, armed with a club. Wade was a member of the school and rwas expected there! Baldwin seated himself in the aisle, extending his feet across it, but removed them for persons to pass, till a little brother of Wade's come along, and he refused to let him-pass, and treated him roughly. The older brother hearing of it, at once sought Baldwin and told him if he wished to abuse any one he should take one of his size; or words to that, effect. ; Some - farther 'words
passed after which they left the house, and Baldwin at once began assaulting Wade, whereupon he was shot and killed, instantly. . This is substantially the statement as we have received it. i Board of Trade There was a good attendance at the Board of Trade yesterday.
