The only arrivals after our report oil the 7th page of the Journal was closed last evening was the Emerald, from New Orleans to Cincinnati. ', "Among her passengers was Lake Grant, of this city, to whom we are indebted for late New Orleans papers The Ella Faber had the biggest packet trip in last evening" we have seen from that direction for a long while. She returned td Louisvole after dark last night The Argosy steamed off np the river last evening to a corn pile, we presume where she would fill out, and leave for Nashville during the "night:'....The J. P. Webb is down to-day from ashville and will return to that port on Friday at four o'clock. Get your freight ready, Our live and lively friends, Cox & 'Humphrey, were engaged yesterday in transferring their goods and chatties from their mam," moth wharf-boat to that formerly run by Ashby & Travis, preparatory to sending the Mammoth to the Dry Dock, where she will be put in thorough repair.
