- Young Amerioa in Trocble. For some days past a number of boys hae been in the habit of holding theatrical exhibitions in a stable down town. But not- satisfied with theatri cals, they introduced John Barleycorn into their midst, and at times became annoying to civil people passing thaf way, by thrpwing brickbats and other mild missiles. Yesterday Mayor Baker sent a policemen" to look after these
young disciples of Thespis and Bac ehus. He arrived? just after the per-j tormance, and caugntoneoi theyoun reprobates,, and got the names of the balance, who will be arrested if they" do not abandon their evil habits. 1 It seems strange that parents or! guardians will permit their children or wards to run loose and wild about the streets, when we have such excel-; lent schools, to which they can go, free of charge.
