L DB. HAAS, having leased the roomi formerly oo eupied by Dr. tuvett, in Dr. stray's building, oppo site the Post Office, for a series of years, would respectfully solicit the citizens of Evansville and tha surrounding towns and country, to visit his rooms and see the specimens on exhibition, whether they need the services of a Dentist or not. ', Since the issuing of his last circular and advertisement, over a year since, several improvements and new inventions have been made, est which he has availed himself, and allows nothing that will subserve the interests of his patients, to pass unsecured. , His facilities are better and establishment larger, without doubt, than any other in our State, and equal te any rn Eastern cities. All those who need. Dental operations performed, and are pleased with his work, shall be attended to with great pleasure.' v, The following are the styles of work msnufactured by him: Continuous Gum; Block or Carved Work: "Vulcanite Base; Coralite; Amber; CheoplasH ; Gold and Silver work. .-. . Nothing can excel the beauty and cleanliness of iha continuous gum work. It is without a seam or crevice. Cheeks that are sunken can be restore! to nearly their original -contour by this style of work, and also by the use of the Vulcanite, Coralite, and; Amber Base.. Thelatter styles, for lightness and adaptation to difficult mouths, excel anyeels anything we nave ever seen. , Tbbv Evaksvillk Journal is now in the 27th year cf its existence. During all that period it aas sought to be in every respect a faithful "chronicler of the times, the people and the country." The circulation of the Joubmai. is a gratifying evidence that our labors are appreciated. Never before was a' newspaper more necessary 'than at present. No man can fail to understand the importance of keeping up with the stormy times in which we live. He who does not read now, and keep informed on the current events of the day, will have the failure to do so for a lite-time regret. -O0B ABMY CORRESPONDENCE. Nearly every resident of Indiana has relatives friends, or neighbors in the Grand Army of the Union. Indiana has sent her armed sons into the field by thousands, and they are now stationed ou the capes of North Carolina, along the Potomac, among the mountains of Virginia, or marching southward through Eentucky and Missouri. A few months may find some of them on Uie Gulf of Mexico, encamped before Fort Sumter and Charleston, or occupying New Orleans. In Dearly every Division of the army, wo have regular correspondents, whose letters will sppear in the columns Of the JOURNAL. MILITARY AND GENERAL MATTER3. ' Besides Army News, our correspondents at home and abroad, ill give attention to other matters that may be of interest to the public . In the local columns of the Daily Joubnal will be chronicled mi'itary appointments, resignations and promotions made for and among our State troops, and whatever else may daily transpire of general importance. The local columns of the Daily Jocax.ti. will also contain from day to day items gleaued at home and from our Indiana exchanges, or military news in all parts of the State. STATE NEWS AND HOME INTERESTS. Not designing or desiring to be exclusively military in conducting the Jocuhal, attention will be paid to whatever may be immediately important to our subscribers. State news and home interests will always (as they have in the past), receive especial attention. The Daily and Weekly Jovbnal will contain telegraphic summaries cf the condition of the Cincinnati, New York and foreign markets. TERMS OF SUBSCRIPTION.
