The Spriuglield Journal 3aya there are nly twotity-two banks in Illinois whose circulation not fully and amply protected by the Bcmritiej on deposit in the oflice of Treat BflSf of State. These hunks hold Missouri bonds mostly, which have been quoted at low figures iu the market lor several years on account ot the hiroe grants by Missouri to railroid enterprises. The Bank Commissioners have been in session and w ill requite all batiks to provide for the full security of their outstanding doNh, or dose business. The Journal remarks: "A glatue at the list of securities on which our Illinois Hunk circulation is based, shows the fac t that whilst tin circulation has largely increased by the creation of new banks, that the amount id" Missouri bonus have (greatly decreased, hi 1857 there were over four millions of Missouri bonds. Thenare now not over two millions and a half in the hands of the Treasurer. "TheHlatc Auditor,:! s required ty law, is now making up his biennial report for the two years closing on the 30th Inst.
