Partial returns have been received from the three southern counties of Oregon, with the following result: Jackson Go., Breckinridge 072 ; Douglas 399 : Lincoln :;77. Douglas Go., majority for Breckinridge 200. Josephine Go., majority for Breckinridge, 200. This is unexpectedly favorable to Breckinrichre.

currency ailoat is based on Missouri bonds, it is interesting to know their standing. So long as interest is paid on such obligations before maturity, they are considered safe, unless under very extraordinary circumstances that are not likely to happen with Missouri. To show how Missouri bonds should be regarded, we copy tw o paragraph from tho St. Louis Republican of the 22d : As regnrd? Has payment of the interest on our State bonds and the bonds of the county filling due presently in New York, it may be austven-d in reply to some iniUtricf that with those well informed there is m doubt of its being met promptly. The county has entered into arrangements that insure its being placed in New York at the day. A. W. Spooiicr, President, and John Sweet, Manager of the Boone County Wild Cat Bank, Lebanon, Indiana, were arrested here yesterday, and will be returned to-day. Mr. Barnuui has contributed four thousand tickets of admission to his Museum toward the relief of the Kansas sulferers. Counterfeit 5's on the Western Bank of Philadelphia, and 3's on the People's Bank of New York, are in circulation. The jury in the crim. con. case of Orville Brown vs. Charles Davidson, returned a verdict of six cents damages.
The Kniinsa Difficulty. Nkw Yi-hk, Nov. 23d. The Washington correspondent of the Times says that Gen. Harney's orders are to exterminate Montgomery and his marauders in the most expeditious manner. Harney will have five hundred troops, cavalry and infantry, from Forts Riley and Kearney.

Market very muelj unsettled for Eastern exchange, an i bankers are supplying their customers ut 1 premium, and are paying J for New Tqrk and Boston checks, but not buying Philadelphia or Baltimore. The paper of the suspended Pennsylvania Banks is Held at 3 bc discount for Pittsburg and Phi!aU-J-phia, and 10c for interior Ranks. Honey tight, but the demand is limited. The news from New York makes things look more hopeful, but that from Philadelphia and Baltimore counteracts it to a great extent. The market on all kinds of produce is stagnant!, and there is very littlo doing in any department. Hogs are dull, and few are" willing to pay over 5 75 for them. Nothing was done in provisions worth mentioning, and prices are nominal. It has bceu snow ing all the afternoon.
