White, Henderson. ——— ......The River opposite this point has commenced swelling again. It was rising quite rapidly yesterday. The Weather, since Sunday, has been clear and pleasant. CINCINNATI, noon, Oct. 29th.—The river has fallen 2 1/2 feet since Saturday. 10 feet in the channel. Weather clear. PITTSBURGH, Oct. 29.—River 5 feet 1 inch by the pier mark and rising. Weather wet. ST. LOUIS, Oct. 29th.—River stationary, with 6 feet in the channel out to Cairo. ......The regular Evansville and Cairo packet Charley Bowen will lie at the wharf to-day, receiving freight, up to 12 o'clock, at which hour she departs for Cairo. She is the only regular boat for that point, and a full load of Cairo and New Orleans freight is solicited. Shippers may "look farther and fare worse." ......The Gen'l Anderson is the regular mail and passenger packet for Paducah.— She belongs to the daily mail line, makes all of the landings, and runs fully up to her time. She is also "up with the times" in other rerspects. Passengers cannot do better than patronize her. ......The Gen'1 White is the regular boat for Henderson. ......The "lead horse" Grey Eagle is the regular boat for Louisville and all points between. She leaves the wharf at 6 o'clock this evening. Everything about the "big" bird is fixed up " 'cording to Grunter." ......The "little" Grey Eagle, on her last trip, exhibited very fair running abilities. She left this port at ;9 1/2 o'clock on Friday morning, having been prevented by fog from leaving at her usual time (6 P. M. Thursday), and arrived on her return at 5 1/2 P. M. on Sunday, having made the round trips, including all mail landings and other stoppages in 56 hours time. At that rate she could make three trips per week. ====== RAILROAD RECEIPTS.
