Cheater Ashley, Memphis; Sam Kirkman, Memphis; Grey Eagle, Louisville; Ida May, Pittsburg ; Equality, Cloverport ; Minnetonka, Cairo. BOATS LEAVING TO-DAY. Charley Bowen, Cairo; Sen Anderson, Cairo; Grey Eagle, Louisville; Gen. White, Henderson. ——— ......The Weather yesterday was foggy and damp during the morning, and continued cloudy throughout the greater part of the day, with indications for rain. The River is still receding, but very slowly. ......The regular Evansville and Cairo packet Charley Bowen, leaves at 12 o'clock to-day for Cairo. We are glad to say that both her well-known and popular clerks, Messrs. W. J. Markcll and Wm. Bentley, are now on board, and passengers have the assurance that everything will be done up "just right." Capt. Dexter is receiving flour for shipment to New Orleans at the rate of 60 cents per barrel, and thinks those figures will be low enough to satisfy even the most exacting. ......The Gen. Anderson, of the daily mail line, goes to Cairo to-day at twelve o'clock. She is a neat, swift and staunch side-wheel packet, and her officers know how to make their passengers comfortable. ......The long-established Louisville mail and passenger steamer, "big" Grey Eagle, Capt. W. H. Daniels, is the regular packet for all points up the Ohio as far as Portland wharf, leaving this evening. The office is in charge of the obliging and popular Will Duval, formerly well known in this trade as clerk of the Bracelet. ......The Gen. White is the packet for Henderson, at her usual time to-day. ......The Grey Eagle, having been detained by fog, did not arrive from Louisville until 4 o'clock yesterday morning, and from the same cause she was obliged to lay over until 1 o'clock, when she left on her return. .......Capt. Dexter gave an oyster supper last evening, on board the Charley Bowen, to the draymen of the city. ......The Equality, which has been lying here undergoing repairs, got up steam yesterday, and went up the river with two stone flats in tow. Her engine room, which was before quite airy, being "as big as all out-doors," has beeu enclosed, so that she now looks somewhat more comfortable. ====== RAILROAD RECEIPTS. Provis ions dull and generally unchanued. The drain of gold lor the continent continue?. Itbms from the Washington correspond ence ot the Cincinnati Gazette : "The Breckiuridge State ticket," says Mr Brady, of Xew York, "is to be kept in the field at all hazard?," and, being its candidate for Governor, be ought to know. 1 his speech auus another to the manv evidences that the Democrats are fighting for 1804. They give up the contest lor the present. In spite of the noise and clamor which they make about it, they concede among themselves that Lincoln is to be elected, nnd a Republican administration is to come into power. But each wing of the party anas at the control of the Democracy in the next campaign. Douglas is stumping the country, not with any hope of intluencina: the present election, but for the purpose of making himself the recognized leader of the party, and his principles the platform on which it stands. Alter the election is over he will take trotig Pnion ground, and fight that battle iu every Southern State, and this will aid him still further in securing the control of the party at which he aims. The Breck men, on the other hand, main tain their organization in the North because they see the necessity ot meeting Mr. Douglas on his own ground, and retaining the nucleus of a Democratic organization in the Northern State3 tn act with the South in the next campaign. This is a very interest inn light as it stands, and it will become much more interesting alter Lincoln's election. All eyes ate NW ; irned to New York Pennsylvania and the great West are con ceded h the Kepubhcans. Douglas is not mentioned, and all hopes of the opponents ot LiLK-oln rest upon the Ltupire State. If they can get her vole, they hope to throw the election into the House. The increase of Republicanism and Republicans here is surprising. At the meet ing on Thursday night, one of the foremost listeners to the speech of Judge Kilgore, be fore the Republican Club, was the editor of afire-eating Democratic paper. Certainly the Judge gave him an insight into Repub lican ways. PROCRgSS OF RkI'I'BI.IOASISM IX VlItt.IXIA A letter from Morganiown, Ya., in the Wheeling Intelligencer says : We had an address from a live Republican Mr. Olipliant of I'niontown. We had obtained liberty from the Sherirt' to use the Court House, but about, the time of lighting up, notice was received that the citizens remousirated, and the doors was closed. A request was made by the Republicans for a copy of the remonstrance, with the names attached to it. This was promised immediately, but up to this time it h3 not been forthcoming. The remonstrance and the shutting of the doors created a great deal of feeling, and the next morning the respectti. hie portion of the commuuily, headed by the Mayor, insisted that Mr. Olipliant should be huard : accordingly we prepared a stand in the public highway, and from this the first tree speech of the campaign was made. We shall cast about two hundred rotes in this i Monongalia; county, for Lincoln and Hamlin. TitK Chicago Zouave Cadets have resolved to form a whole Regiment of their style of military, to consist of eight companies, Col. Ellsworth to be the duwf officer. The old company will be company A, and the rest B, C, ie., in order of their organization. The work of organizing the new companies is said to be progressing steadily, and in a lew months it is ex pec to! the Regiment, which is to be known as the " Independent Regimen I of Illinois Light Infantry," will be full.
