Vernon, August 21st. Po3eyville, August 22nd. HE CHICAUO PLATPORJ1, AS AMCSDED AND ADOPTKD. Rese'rerf, That we, the delegated representatires the Republican electors of the United States, iu nrention assembled, in the discharge of the dnty owe to our constituents and our country, uaile the following declarations : .st. That the history of the nation during the t four years, has fully established the propriety J necessity of tbe organization and perpetuation tbe Republican party ; aud that the causes which led it into existence are permanent in their uae, and now, more than ever before, demand its iceful and constitutional triumph. :. That the maintenance of the principles proIgated in the Declaration of Independence and bodied in the Federal Constitution ' That all n are created equal , that they are endowed hy ir Creator with certaiu inalienable rights . that ong these are life, liberty, and the pursuit ot ipiness ; that to secure these rights, goveruineuts instiinted among tnen: deriving their just powfrom the consent of the governed " is essential be preservation of our Republican institutions ; I that tbe Federal Constitution, the Rights of States, and the Union of the States must and II be preserved. . That to the Union of the States this nation s.its unprecedented increase in population, its prising development of material resources, itid augmentation of wealth, its happiness at tie ami its honor abroad ; and we hold iu abrence alt stmrmee for Disniiiou, come from whatr source they may : And we congratulate the ntry that no Repuhlicuu member of Congress nttered or countenanced the threats ot MaMi so often made by Democratic members, withrehuke and with applause frm iheir political iciates ; aud we denounce tboso threats of disjq, In case of a popular overthrow of tneir asJency as denying the vital principle of a free ernnienf, and a an avowal of content plated own, which it is the iinnerative duty of an inmiit People sternly to rebuke uud forever si;e Thar the maintenance inviolate of the Rights he Slates, and especially the right of each State ider and control its own domestic institutions irding to its own judgment exclusively, is asvial to that balance of powers on which the perioii and endurance of our political fabric dels ; and we denounce the lawless invasion hy vd force of tbe soil of any State or Territory, natter under what pretext, as among tbegravest rimes. That the present Democratic Administration far exceeded our worst apprehensions, in its psWtlssji suhservieney to the exactions of a socal interest, as especially evinced in its desper'Xertious to force the Infamous Lecempton Conition upon the protesting people of Kansas ; iu , truing the personal relation between master j servant to involve an unqualified property in MM! in its attempted enforcement, ever, where ! iud and sea, through the intervention of Conand of the Federal Courts, of the extreme j .unions of a purely local interest ; and in its rat and unvarying abuse of tbe power intrusted I by a confiding people. That the People justly view with alarm the I lees extravagance which pervades every departt of the Federal Governiueut ; tkat a return to I 1 economy and accountability is indispensable I rest the systematic plunder of the public to asy favored partisans ; while the recent startling ' lopmtnts of frauds and corruptions at the Fed- j Metropolis, show that an entire change of nistratiou is imperatively demanded. That "he new dogma that the Constitution, ot srn force, carries Slavery into any or all of the itoriee of the Un'ted States, is a daugerous ical heresy, at variance with the explicit pro ns qf that instrument itself, with contemporas exposition and vith legislative and judicial dent; is revolutionary iu its tendency, and ersive of the peace and harmony of tbe country. That the uornial condition of all tbe Territory e United States is that of freedom : That as lepublican fathers, when they had abolished ry in all our national territory, ordained that person should be deprived of life, lilierty, or Tty, without due process of law," it becomes uty, by legislation, whenever such legislation pessary, to maintain this provision of the Conion against all attempts to violate it ; and we the authority of Congress, of a territorial legire, or of auy individuals, to give legal existto Slavery in any Territory of the United s. That we brand the recent re-opening of the an Slave-Trade, under the cover of our Na1 Flag, aided by perversions of judicial power, rime against Humanity and a burning abame r Country and Age ; and we call upon Congress ke prompt and efficient measures for the total inal suppression of that execrable t rathe. That in the recent vetoes, by their Federal nors, of the acts of the Legislatures of Kannd Nebraska, prohibiting Slavery iu those tories, we find a practical illustration of thu ed Democratic principle of Non-intervention 'opular Sovereignty embodied in tbe haueaaiska bill, and ademousliation of the deception "aud involved therein. That Kansas should, of right, be immediately ted as a State under the Constitution recently d and adopted by her people, and accepted by ouse of Representatives. That, while providing revenue for the supi the general government by duties upon lm- . sound policy requires such an adjustment of imposts as to encourage the development of idustrial interests of tbe whole country ; and mmend that policy of national exchanges, I secures to the working men liberal wages, to dture remunerating prices, to mechanics and facturers an adequate reward for their skid, and enterprise, and to the nation commercial rity and independence. That we protest against any sale or alien. iothers of the Public Lands held by actual s, and against any view of the Flee Homepolicy which regards the settlers as paupers pliants for public bounty ; and we demand -stage by Congress of the complete and satisy Homestead measure which has already pass -i House. That tbe Republican party is opposed to any e in onr Naturalization Laws, or any 6tate ition by which the rights of I HiIiihIiIm hithtccorded to immigrants from foreigu lauds 1 abridged or impaired ; and in favor of givfull and efficient protection to tbe rights of sees of citixeus, whether native or naturaljoth at borne and abroad. That appropriations by Congress for River arbor improvements of a National character, ed for the accommodation and security of an ig commerce, are authorized by the Consti- , and justified by the obligation of GoveruTh vely demanded by the Interests of the whole y ; that tbe Federal Government ought to immediate and efficient aid in its construcaod that, as preliminary thereto, a daily nd Mail should be promptly established. Finally, bavins; thus set forth our distinctive piss and views, we invite the co-operation of izens, however differins; on other o,netioti, abstantially agree with us in their affirmance pport. Above we present yon with a perfect likeness o f Tezuco. a chief of a tribe of the strange Aztec Nation, that once ruled Mexico. Vou will find a full account of him in our pamphlets and Almanacs to be had gratis from the Agents for these Pills. The inventor and manufacturer of "Judson's Mountain Herb Pills " has spent the greater part of his life iu traveling, having visited nearly every country in the world. He spent over sift years among the ludians of the Rocky Mountains and of Mexico, ar d It was thus that the " Mountain Herb Pills" weie discovered. A very Interesting account of his adventures there you will find In our Almanacs and Pamphlets. It is an established fact that all diseases arise from IMPURE BLOOD I The blood is the life ; and when any foreign or unhealthy matter gets mixed with it, it is at once distirbuted to every organ of the body. Every nerve feels the poison, and all the vital organs quickly complain. The stomach will not digest the food perfectly. The liver ceases to secrete a sufficiency of bile. The ection of the heart is weakened, and so the circulation is weakened. Tl e lungs become clogged with the poisonous matter; hence, a cough and all from a slight impuriry at the fountain head of life the Blood I As if you had thrown some earth, for instance, in a pure spring, from which ran a tiny rivulet. in a few minutes the whole course of tbe stream becomes disturbed and discolored. As quickly does impure blood fly to every part, and leave its sting behind. All the passages become obstructed, and unless tbe obstruction is removed, the lamp of life soon dies out. These Piils not only purify the blood, but regenerate all the secrt tions of tbe body. They are, therefore, unrivaled as a CURE FOB BILIOUS DISEASES, Liver Complaint, Sick Headache, Ac. This AntiBilious Medicine expels from tire blood the bidden seeds of disease, and renders all the fluids and secretions pure and fluent, clearing and resuscitating the vital organs. Pleasant, indeed, is it to us, that we are able to place within your reach a medicine like the " Mountain Herb Pills," that will pass directly to tbe afflicted parts, through the blood and fluids of the body, and cause the sufferer to brighten with the flush of beauty and health. juason 8 finsare the nest remedy in existence for the following complaints : Bowel Complaints, Coughs, Colds, Chest Diseases, Costiveness, Dyspepsia, Diarrhoea, Dropsy, Debility, Fever and Ague, Female Complaints, Headaches, Indigestion, Influenza, Inflammation, Inward Weakness, Liver Complaints, Lowness of Spirits, Stone aud Gravel, Piles, and Secondary Symptoms. GREAT FEMALE MEDICINE I Females who value health, should never be with, out these Pills. They purify the blood, remove obstructions of all kinds, cleanse tho skin ot all pimples and blotches, and bring the rich color of health to the pale cheek. The plants and herbs of which these Pills are made, were discovered, in a very surprising way, among tho Tezucans, a tribe of Aborigines in Mexico. Get the Almanac of our Ageut, and you will read with delight tho very interesting account it contains of the "Great Medicine" of the Aztecs. OBSERVE. The Mountain Herb Pills are put up in a beautiful wrapper. Each Box contains 40 pills, and Retail at 25 cents per box. All genuine have the siguatureof B. L. Judson A Co., on each box.
