At Cincinnati it is also receding, with 5 feet thence to Louisville, where it is reported swelling with 4 feet 2 inches in the Canal. ......The regular Evansville and Paducah mail packet <Dunbar> is in port this morning, and sails at 12 o'clock. Her trips to-day, and every Friday hereafter, will be extended to Cairo, and she will take all the Cairo and New Orleans freight she can secure. ......The <Charley Bowen> arrived about 6 o'clock last night, only twenty-five hours out from Cairo, including all stoppages. She will be receiving freight to-day, and leaves for Cairo at noon tomorrow. ......The <Masonic Gem> left Cairo at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning, and arrived here yesterday—time, including all stopages, 27 hours. The <Jno. Gault> left Cairo 3 hours and 40 minutes ahead of her, and she overtook and passed her below Mt. Vernon.
