UN 's" II K I'HItAUO 1 1 A T V O R. M , as s and adopted. ffV as Twos'. That we, the delegated representatives i4 ilie lit publican electors of the United States, in ouventio assembled, in the discharge of the duty we owe t. our constituents aud our country, unite in the following declarations: 1st. That the historv of the nation during the Wt lour years, has fully established the propriety on! necessity of the organization and perpetuation I tlie Republican party : and that the causes which .ailed it into existence are permanent in their nature, and now, more than ever liefore, demand its -peaceful and constitutional triumph. 2. That the maintenance of the principle proggfflKlSS la the SValeraT 'cTmstituilon That all .nen are created equal ; that they are endowed by i heir Creator with certain inalienable rights; that unoiiji these are life, liberty, and the pursuit ot happiness; that to secure those right, governments are instituted among men. deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed" is essential to the preservation of our Keptibllcau institutions ; and thai, the Federal Coiurirution, the Kights ol the States, a d the I'nion of the States must and shall le preserved. 3. That to the I'nion of the Stales this nation owes, Its unprecedented increase in population, its suipiisitm development nf materia! resources, it rapid augmentation of wealth, its happiness at home and its honor abroad ; and we bold in abhorrence all schemes lor Disunion, come from what--ver source they .nay : And we congratulate the country that no BcpnMlcss member of Congress has uttered or ci untenanced the threats of Disunion so often mfvle by Democratic memla-rs, with ut rel uke and with applause freas their political seedates : and we denounce those threats of disnai n , iii case of a popular overthrow of their ascendency as denying the vital principles of a fines government, and as an avowal of contemplated treason, which it is the imperative duty of an indignant People sternly to rebuke aud forever silt -nee 4. That tiic maintenance inviolate of the Right-, of tlie States, and especially the right of each State 10 oider and control its owu domestic institutions according to Its own judgmeut exclusively, is essential to that balance of swers ou which the perfection ami endurance of oar political fabric depends ; and we denounce the lawless invasion b arnii.-d force of the scdl of any S'ate or Territory, Bo matter under what pretext, as amoug the gravest A crime. "). That the present Democratic Administration has far exceeded our worst sppn Hslml litis, in its measureless subserviency to the exactions or a sec -tional interest, as especially evinced la its draper --t exertions to forco the lnfamoui. Lecoinptun Constitution upon the protesting people of Kansas ; in om.truinir the e-r-onal relation between master and servant to Involve- aa niisjnalHisil property in orson- ; in its attempted enforcement, every where -n land aud sea, through the intervention of Conrcs and of the Federal Courts, of the extremo mi til nnl i ins of a purely local interest ; and in its general and unvarying abase of the pow er intrusted io it by a confiding psopls. .... That the People justly view with alarm the ieckiees extravagance hich pervades every department of the Federal Government; that a return to i igid economy and accountability is indispensable, t ai-rent ihe systematic tduudcr of the public treasury by favored partisans ; while the recent startling . lopaMJits id' frauds and corruptions at the Federal -Metropolis, show that an entire change ci tdm'nietxatioa is imperatively demanded. ". That he new dogma that the Constitution, of own force), carries Slavery into any or all of the Territories of the Un ted States, is n dangerous political heresy, at variance with the explicit pro isions of that instrument itself, with contemporaneous exposition and vith legislative and judicial precedent: is revolutionary in its tendency, aud - uhvevive of the peace and harmony of the country. 8. That the normal condition ofa'l the Territory .1 the I ,'nit I States is that o treads : That as or Republican lathers, when they had abolished -lavery in all our national territory, ordained that " Bo parson slnwihl be dei rived of life, liberty, or nropssij, without due priseas of law," it Incomes nr duty, by legislation, whenever such legislation is necessary, to maintaiti this provision of the Con--titution against all attempts to violate it ; and we deny the authority of Congress, of a territorial leg i;, latere, or of any individuals, to give hand existrnce to Slavery iu any Territory of the Unite1 -itates. !. That we brand the recent re-openiag of the MrloHU Slave-Trade, under the cover of our National Flag, aided by perversions of judicial power, ;s a crime against Humanity and a buruiug shame io our Couutry and Age ; and we call upon Congress to take prompt and etlicient measures for the total md final suppression of that execrable traltlc. i'. That in the receut vetoes, by their Federal Governors, of the acts of the Legislatures of Kau--i and Nebraska, prohibiting Slavery in those Territories, we find a practical illustration of the boasted Democratic principle of Non-Intervention and Popular Sovereignty embodied in the b ansasNebraska bill, aud ademonatiation ot thede-eptiou and fraud involved therein. 11. That Kansas should, of right, bo immediately admitted as a State uudor the Constitution recently l.n mad and adopted by bar people, and accepted by the lionss of Reprcseutativoe. i 12. Tliit. while providing revenue fur the sup-j-ort of the general government by duties upon imports, sound policy requires such an adjustment of i bsse imports as to encourage the development of i tie industrial interests id' the whole country ; and we commend th.it policy of uatiou-tl exchanges, which secures to the wcrking men liberal wages, to agriculture remunerating prices, to mechanics and msnulacturers an adequate reward for their skid, labor, and enterprise and to the uation commercial til i rape-II Jf and indej-endence. 1.1. That wo protect against any silo or alienation to other-t ot the Public Lands held by actual settlers, and against any view of the Flee Homestead policy which regards the settlers as paupers or suppliants for puMtc bounty ; aud wo demand the passage by Congress of the complete and satislactory Homestead measure which Las already passed th Uoose
14. That the Republican party is opposed to any change in our Naturalization Laws, or any State legislation by which the rights of citizenship hitherto accorded to immigrants from foreign lands shall he abridged or impaired ; and in favor of givng a full and efficient protection to the rights of all classes of citizens, whether native or naturalized, both at home and abroad. 15. That appropriations by Congress for Ritfr and Harbor improvements of a National character, required for the accommodation and security of an existing commerce, are authorized by the Consti lotion, and Justified by the obligation of Government to protect the lives and property of its citizens. lfi. That a Railroad to the Pacific Ocean is imperatively demanded by th interests of the whole country ; that the Federal Government ought to render "immeoiate and efficient aid in its construeMom; ami that, as preliminary thereto, a daily Overland Mail should be promptly established. 17. Finally, having thus set forth our distinctive principles and views, we invite the co-operation of all citizens, however differing on other question, who substantially agree with us in their affirmance and support. TlTY ADVERTISEMENTS.

SIX Salsam The JEconomi&t. rmxHim sto fji has tarbjv the sbl first premiums at every Fair wnere it ha;; been exhibited. At the South-Western Indiann District Fair, held here October, 18fl9, there aere but two premiums offered for cooking stoves one for the best wood coeklng store.and one for the b?t conl cooking stove. The Economist took the FIRST PREMIUM FOR THE BEST (HIKING STOVE FOR WOOD. Roelker, Kinsman i Co took the first premium for their cookius stove for coal. No other premiums were ottered. The large silver medal was awarded to the Economist at the New York State Fair : and the first premium at the United States Fair held at Chicago, and twelve other State and County Fairs in 186. In no branch of mechanical art has there been a more apparent advance than in tue manufacture of stovis. It is but a few years since the very name was a novelty, representing a huge, shapeless structure, almost ns devoid ol use as ornament, These have gradually given place to patterns of grace aud utility ; until'the varieties our markets now present have almost exhausted the vocabulary of names; and the different phases the metal is made to assume, would astonish old Vulcan himself. Iu style and finish, the improvement has been rtal, leaving nothing to le desired on that point, but the severe competition in price, to which they have la-en subjected, has deprived them of many of the mors substantial qualities desirable. This seems more especially to have been the eae in reference to cook stoves an article of domestic economy that has more to do with scolding wives ami crotchety servants than most people imagine. The public have long sought an improvement in this article, and we Ijelieve are ready to pay any reasonable price for a cooking stove, if it only possesses the merits of size, weight, convenience, durability, economy, and perfection of manulactur . These qualities seem to be possessed most fully in the Econ -mist a new stove, perfected and brought out Iks past season, by Messrs. Treadwcll, Perry A Norton, of Albany. AVe hoard so much of this stove, and it looked so much like a stove intended for Mse, that we concluded to try them, anil the result of the experiment couvinces us that the proorieters, in their determination to make the.. time in the wortd, have succeeded. We regard the Economist as piaisessiug all the merits above enumerated us the great stove of the day -far iu advance of anything ever attempted iu the line ot stoves, perfect in all its appointments, and true to its uatne iu durability aud the use of fuel. Amoug the many conveniences attached to it, may be mentioned a largo oven, with hooks arranged, for suspending meats while roasting. A copper water tank, holding from 12 to 25 gallons warming closet, broiling hearth, tc, The broiling hearth is one of the most noticeable features of this remarkable stove. There never has been, to our knowledge, any broiling fixture that was really satisfactory in its operation. The proprietors of this stove hae been conducting a series of experiments upou broiling, eliciting some valuable facts, and resulting in the iuvention of a gridiron adapted to this stove, which has been secured by letters patent, and is one of the most admirable things of the kind We ever saw broiling without smoke, and keeping the coals In a constaut glow. We are always glad to do last ire to mechanical imi rovements, and especially such as contribute so lrguly to the general good, as tho one above mentioned. Above we present you with a perfect likeness , I Tczuco, a chief of a tribe of the strange Aztec Nation, that onco ruled Mexico. You will find a full account of him in onr pamphlets and Alinanacsto be bad grntis from the Agents for these Piils. The inventor and taannf.i.uur t of "Judson's Mountain Herb Pills n has spent the greater part of his life in traveling, having vl.iited uearly every country in the world. H spent over six years among the IndiaAs of the Rocky Mountains and ot Mexico, and it was thus that tho " Mountain Herb Pills" were discovered. A very interesting account of his adventures there you will find in oui Almanacs aud Pamphlets. It is an established fact that all diseases arise from IMPURE BLOOD I The blood is tho life ; and when any foreign or unhealthy matter gets mixed with it, it is atonce die tirbuted to every organ of the body. Every nerve feels the poison, und all the vital organs quickly complain. The stomach will not digest the food perfectly. The liver ceases to secrete a sutTtciency of bile. The action of the heart is weakened, and so the circulation is weakened. Tl e lungs become clogged with the poisonous matter; hence, a cough and ail from a slight impurity at the fountain head of life the Blood I As if you had thrown some earth, for instance, in a pure spr'ng, from which ran a tiny rivulet in a few miuutes the whole course of the stream becomea disturbed and discolored. As quickly does impure blood fly to every part, and leave its sting behind. All the passages become obstructed, and uuless the obstruction is removed, the lamp of life soon dies out. These Piils not only purify the blood, but regenerate all the seen tions of the body. They are. therefore, unrivaled as a CURE FOR BILIOUS DISEASES, Liver Complaint, Sick Headache, Ac. This AmiBilious Medicine cxp.ls from the bio d the hidden seeds of disease, and renders all the fluids and secretions pure and fluent, clearing and resuscitatina the vital organs. Pleasant, indeed, is It to us, that we are able to place within your reach a medicine liko the " Mountain Herb Pills," that will pass directly to the afflicted parts, through the blood and fluid's of me oouy, and cause tne Batterer to hnghtcn with the flush of beauty and health. Judsod's Pillsare the best remedy iu existence fo r the following complaints: Bowel Complaints, Coughs, Colds. Chest Diseases, Costiveness, Dyspepsia, Diarrhoea, Dropsy, Debility, Fever and Ague, Female Complaints, Headaches, Indigestion, Influenza, Inflammation, Inward Weakness, Liver Complaints, Lowuess of Spirits. Stone and Gravel, Piles, and Secondary Symptoms. GREAT FEMALE MEDICINE! Females who vai;e health, should never be without these Pills. They purify the blood, remove obstructions of all kinds, cleanse the skin ot all pimples and blotches, and bring the rich color of health to the pale cheek. Tbeplautsand herbs of which these Pills are made, were discovered, in a very surprising way, among the Tezucaos, a tribe of Aborigines in Mexico.
