Very little business doing. ......The <River> at this point is still nearly stationary, and it will probably remain at its present height for a day or two, rather than rise above it. It continues falling at Pittsburg, but is rising again at Cincinnati, and also very slowly at Louisville. ......The <Autocrat> from New Orleans came in with a fair trip, closely followed by the <Gen. Quitman>. Her affable and obliging clerk, Mr. Greer, has our thanks for a manifest and memoranda. ......The <Lue Eaves> came in yesterday with a fair trip. Her polite and obliging clerk, Mr. Zach. Taylor, has our thanks for a manifest. She leaves this morning at 8 o'clock for Ashbysburg. Passengers for Green river will take notice that she is the only side-wheel steamer making that trip to-day. ......A flat boat loaded with corn, consigned to Messrs. Turner & McKeen of Terre Haute, was sunk in Wabash river on Friday last, a few miles above that city, by being snagged. The boat and cargo belonged to Messrs. Campbell & Clinton. ......We understand that the Pomeroy packet <Grey Eagle> has been sold to parties in Louisville, for the Louisville and Henderson trade.—<Cin. Gaz>. Are we to have two <Grey Eagles> in that trade? MEMORANDA STEAMER AUTOCRAT.—Left New Orleans on Thursday, 7th, at 9 1/2 o'clock P. M. Steamer <Gen. Quitman> in port for Louisville. Hooper's new boat <St. James>, is nearly planked at Hill & Payne's shipyard, and will be ready to launch in about two weeks. Capt. Richardson's new boat, the hull of which is building at Dowerman & Humphreys' yard, is progressing. The frame is up and receiving the plank. In order that Capt. Spotts' boat may be commenced, she will be launched as soon as possible. Capt. Puckett's boat, at Jones' yard, is being planked, and workmen have commenced to put the cabin up. The keel for Capt. Baird's boat will be laid one day next week, at the yard of Messrs. Lee & Moore. ......The new boat contracted for by Capt. Spotts at New Albany, for the New Orleans and Louisville trade, is to be called the Saratoga. Dowerman & Humphreys are building the hull, and Lent, South & Shipman the machinery. The boat is to be 280 feet in length, with 40 feet breadth of beam, and 36 feet breadth of floor. Depth of hold 8 1/2 feet. Daily Review of tlie Evantville Wholesale Market. nrricii or Kvanbvii.i e Joi enai, :.L' Wednesday evening, June l.'iJi The dullness in business affidri s:;il continues, and tin-re will doubtless be little change in that resiect for some time to come. The busy season is about over for the present, aud we cannot eipect much improvement until the new crops come in. We note very little alteration in the market since yesterday. Flour continues ijuiet and duil, and the demand for w heat has fallen off slightly, and the price declined, atthough the supply has not been increased. Provisions are a tritle firmer, with a rise of J- a cent in Shoulders and Sides, but the transactions are ail small, aud change in other respects unimportant. Tobacco is perhaps a shade duller, aud more ijuiet, the excess of inferior qualities and the amount of damaged article in market, act .ng w ith a depressing influence.
