The Iran Moulders of this City met en Wednesday night in Harmony Hall, for the purpose .of organizing a Society for the ad. vancement of the interests of the craft; and for their mutual protection. The meeting was called to order by appointing Wu. ' H l fcT!KGTON,f Chairiuku, and Richard jCJoR-' wood, Secretary . . ; The Chairman than stated the object of the meeting, after which be iutroduced Mr. Obsrklime, of Cincinnati, Corresponding Secretary of the National Moulders' Union, who proceeded to address the meeting upon f the importance of organization awoug the working classes. . Ha argued that the present position of the producing class was not such us God and Nature had designed it to be ; that under eiisting circumstances, the poor uiau becomes poorer, us the rich man becomes richer. He advised the Mechanics to organise to secure those rights to which they are justly entitled, to harlor no hard feelings against employers, stating that the interests of both are identical and can only be carried out properly by having perfect harmony between them. . His speech was spirited, and elicited the applause of the Moulders present. After inviting Mr. Oberkliue to remain and again address th Moulders on Saturday evening, May 5th, the meeting adjourned until that tima. t Our Country and Home.
