The Weather, yesterday, was cool and pleasant. The mornings and evenings are rather cool, and were it not that the atmosphere is quite dry, wc should feel apprehensive for the fruit and early vegetables. The handsome Silver Star will leave to-dsy at 12 o'clock for Cairo. We understand the band of music from this city, accompanied with several of our citizens, will lie found on board, the one discoursing a " concord of sweet sounds " as they journey down the river, and the others enjoying the beauties of nature Quite a party of ladies and gentleman at Paditcuh have made their arraugcnicut3 to take a pleasure excursion ti Cairo and back on the present trip ot the Star, and no lioul.. tbey all will enjoy a glorious time. Capt. Hull and Messrs. Flonrnoy and Bunting will find great satisfaction iu looking after the comfort and pleasure of their numerous kucs,s The Danbur left yesterday at her usual hour. She was honored with a large crowd of passengers, principally from Western Kentucky, who seemed to while away the hours pleasantly enough. The favorite Cliarley Somen is the regular Caiio packet to-day at noon. She has ample accommodations for a Lost of passengers, and freight consigned to her w ill be delivered at its place of destination with great care and punctuality. Wc learn from Mr. Little that the Kate Sarchel passed Vincenncs yesterday with a full load. She will probnbly arrive here this eveningr Wc learn from a private dispatch C.tpt. J. B. Ham., that the Silnr Star did not leave 1'oducah until 1 o'clock yesterday, and that she will not be here until 9 this morning. The delay was cati3 d bv nn accident to one of her rudders on the last trip up, which made it necessary to pull her out ou the ways to repair the damage. She leave3 for Cairo at L3 lo-day. Quite a tieet of boats was at the lauding yesterday morning, and business was unusually nnimalcd. I I.aat Hvninir the Chartu II, .,:-, -quite a number of young nentieinen hoard, went down the river about tour miles, and took ou 400 sacks of corn. The ride was quite a treat to those w ho Were so jortunatc as to take passage. The Auiocrat completed tier load, and lej't night liofbre lasl, w ith a fair paying trip. The John Tomj'kiim art ived from the Wabash, Thursday night, with a fair load. Mr. tl'Bryau, her gentlemanly clerk, has our thanks tor n manifest. The W. V.
