This care has excited his fiiends, neighbors, and physicians, and even soma of the Medical Faculty. One of tliu Professors (Dr. K. S. Newton), who was called to see him aa a surgeon, not to prescribe, was so forcibly impressed with the Kemaikalde Curative Properties ot this Medicine, that he has adopted it into his private practice, as well aa at the (Jollege and Hospital. Cincinnati, O., Feb. 16, 1858. Messrs. A. L. Scovill Co. Gentlemen : I will, with great pleasure, give my testimony as to what your 8ABSAPAK1LI A AND ST1LL1NGIA, ur MLOOlt AND LIVKH S YB VP has doue for me. Souie three and a half year since, I was attacked with a Scrofulous White Swelling, which was attended with most excrutiating paius I tried various remedies, and had two of the beat Physicians of the city (one of them a Profcseox lu an Old School Medtoat College), and they tailed to give me any relief 1 I was so reduced ! that I was counaed to my bod lor over three months. The nerves and muscles of one leu were so contracted and drawn op, that I could not walk. I had mocanhan a dozen running ulcers on my legs, from which I took, from time to time, more than One Hundred Pieces of Bone, some of them from three to four inches loug. 1 was reduced to almost a skeleton, and my frieiads had given up all hopes of my recovery 1 I was in this condition when I commenced the use of your Blood aud Liver Syrup. I have used altogether some two doxen bottles of it, and at the same time the Iodine Ointment, which you advise to use with it ; and lastly, the Healing Ointment, given under the head of " White Swelling," iu your directions. I am now able to attend to business, and my legs have become o strong that I walk without auy difficulty aud have entirely recovered my health. Yours truly, MARTIN ltOBBINS, Ja. Residence on Eighth street, between Mound and John, No. 321 ; or at place of business, with Brown A VUlette, No. 4 Cast Fourth street. Bead an extract from the Cincinnati Medical Journal, Vol. 6, page 310, by its editor, Prof. B. 8. Newton, in regard to this remarkable care : "While Mai tin Bobbins was in the very worst imaginable condition, wa were called to atteud him far a fracture of the leg, produced by a fall. Tbo indications of a re-union of the bone, under the circumstances, were unfavorable, for he would sit, day after day, picking out small pieces of the bone, which would slough off. I found him using Scovill's Preparation, which h continued to use until a cure was effected. We gave him no constitutional treatment, being In attendance only as a surgeon; yet we confess we had much curiosity to see what could be done in a system no exteusively diseased us his was." Will the afflicted call on the agent aud get a pamphlet containing certificates of cures from well known citizens of Cincinnati ? w Becollect that this Medicine is warranted to cure all diseases that are caused by an impure state of the Blood. Scovill's blood and Liver Syrup is composed entirely of vegetables, aud is perfectly sale for children to use, in case of sore mouth or eruption on the skin. If mothers value the health of their children, they should eradicate' the seeds of the disease before it is too late. Bead the statemeutof oue of the oldest chemists in Cincinnati. FRENCH A CO. jan24 ' JS-toxTSTja.art'js Stove ra l, nM vsr ojyr hajvb, ji IjAbub BjL lot of these truly aud justly celebrated, newly and groatly improved summer and winter Cooking Stoves, of the unrivalled Stewart's Patent, aud at tne only agency in tins city. Thos. acantlin s, JSo. 29 Main street, retween first and second. The first premium was awarded to this stove as the best coal or wood-cooking stove, at the South Western Indiana District Fair, held at this place. No stove ever devised combines as numerous or important scientific principles, as this of Stewart's. It broils, bolls, bakes and roasts at the same mo meut, without ooe dish imparting flavor to another. or producing that sameness ou taste In meats, and gravies, which, to the delicate and fastidious of taste makes so insuperable an objection to every other cooking stove now In use. With one-fourth the fuel employed in the best of stoves now in use, this most perfect and complete cooking apparatus performs, simultaneously and more perfectly than has ever before been accomplished, everything required In the best provided families, so far as cookiug is con cerned. When, too, . it is borne iu mind that the most delicate females can visit the kitchen when the Stewart Stove is fully employed, and the Are is at its highest, without the smallest unpleasantness from the change of temperature, so little is the heat from it diftased externally, an inducement is pre sented for its universal employment never hereto fore presented in any other stove. That, Indeed, is one of its principal attractions, as well as its greatest wonder, how heat is so economized and diR-ised within the stove itself, and so little perceptibly es capes into the kitchen, a place where, with auy of the Steves now in nse, other than Stewart s, it is scarcely possible for any one, in warm weather more particularly, to breathe with comfort. For '0 years, 01 r. Stewart nas Deeo employed In Derfectiae this stove, and since last February, lie has obtained three new patents for improvements, which, in his opinion, and the epinion of alt who have examined it, made it perfect. Within four years, twenty thoueand ot them have been sold, under a full guarantee, and not one has been returned. These remarkable results have emboldened a host of stove manufacturers to imitata the Stewart Stove, but, save in exterior appearance, which the old patents (having expired) euables them to give, they no more resemble Stew art's than chalk does cheese. These imitations are known by various names, but they are all deficient in important parti culars, such the alr-ticht boxes, by which full control is kept ever the fire, and of the boat, by a draft damper, ingeniously contr ved, which alsoadmits a constant current of cold air on the outside of the fire-box, which again becomes heated air, and, passing mto the oven. Is made available for cooking purposes. The aeent and subscriber is receiving the best imitation of the Stewart Stove, called " Pride of the West," which he will be happy to dispose of at twothirds of the price of the genuine Stewart's. It is possible, ot course, to cook with it, but it bears no comparison to Stewart's. The " Stewart is sold ty tne agent nnc.er a mil gnaractee to perform, aa recommended, and if, within three months from purchasing, auy fault is found with them, he will take them back, and refund the moDoy. Housekeepers will benriu mind then, that the genuine Stewart Stove, bought at the only agents here, will, with half the labor and one-fourth the fuel, do more and better cooking than auy other stove ever constructed.
