The attention of manufacturers of agricultural implements, and the raisers of small grain, isinvit ed to a recent and most valuable improvement in the construction of the Harrow, invented by V. M. Chafke, of Grayville, Illinois. In this new implement the teeth are inserted in two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow of the teeth are made to crocs the line of the direction of the harrow, and as the teeth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the harrow moves forward the length of the diameter of the wheel, each tooth has Just three times the effect of a tooth in astraight harrow, consequently it does its work far better, and more of it. Once passing over the ground with this harrow, leaves it Iietter harrowed than by two passages with the ordinary harrow. It is much lighter draft upon the team, and what must lie a great consideration wtih every practical farmer, in passing over corn or stubble ground, it keel itself entirely free of stalks, as by its action it scatters them en each side of it. The Inventor proposes to sell the right to nianuacture these Harrows, for any giveu Territory, either Counties or States, at moderate prices, lie 111 also sell single Harrows, and on tho receipt of $16 he will ship a good six fet Harrow to any part of the country, the purchaser paying freight. We do not desire to interfere with the professional (thics of sur medical sc'hisils, nor do we possess any skiil in pharmaceutics, but Dr. Graves has opened to our ins'isi tioii a mass of letters from his agents and most resiwctahla druggists iu all parts. of the country, which commend his family medicines in the highest terms. They meet with 11 very extended sale, w hich of itself is an excellent recommendation. We always feel reluctant to make auy endorse ment f medicines, but there are so many localities where no regular practitioners are within reach, and so many diseases which require prompt remedies, that a supply of the prescriptions prepareu by Or. Graves, coinm.-ndeil as they are for efficiency, would prove almost iuvaiiuibie. Iu all cases of sickness, our first advice is to call the aid of u physician, but, if that is impracticable, it seems to us that Dr. Graves oilers remedial agents in ague, cholera morbus, A.c., w hich may be salitily used, as bo gives assurance that no deleterious compounds are used in their preparation. Louisrille Journal. Dr. Graves' anti-Fever and Ayue, anti-Bilious, Purifying, and Cathartic Pills are inaluable to those atilicted with any of these complaints. His American Liniment is gaining a high reputation for healing all kinds of ailments, both of man and K'sst: and mrents should remember that his "Golden erniifiuse,'' is' a certain comedy for expelliug worms from the system, For sale by Wholesale Druggists generaVly.
