The attention of manufacturers of agricultural implements, aud tbe raisersof small graiu, isiuvit ed to a recent aud mst valuable improvemeut iu the couslructiou f tlie Harrow, iuveuted by V. M. Chatce, of Grayville, Illinois. In this new implement tbe teeth are iuaerted in two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow of the teeth are made to cross the line of the direction of the harrow, and as the teeth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the barrow moves forward tlie length of the diameter of tho wheel, each tooth has Just three times the effect of a tooth iu a straight harrow, consequently it dots its work far better, aud more of it. Once passing oter the ground w Ith this harrow, leaves it better liarrvwed than by two passages with the ordinary harrow. It is much lighter draft upon tho team, and what must be a groat consideration wtih every practica! farmer, in passing over corn or stubble ground, ll kaeps itself entirely free of stalks, as by its action it erat tors them on each side of it. We do not desire to interfere with the professional ethic f ur medical schools, nor do we possess any skill In pharmaceutic, but Dr. Graves has opened to our inspection a mass of letters from his agents and most respectable druggists in all parts of the country, which commend his family medicines in the highest terms. They meet with si very extended sale, which of itself is an excellent recommendation. We always feet reluctant to uiakn any ndorsement of medicines, but there are so many localities where no regular practitioner; are within reach, and so many disease:, which require prompt remedies, that a BUfi'ly of the prescriptions preitren by Dr. GraTes, coiuuiruded as they are for etliciency, would prove almost invaluable.
