The attention of manufacturers of agricultural implements, and the raisers of small grain, isiuvit eil to a recent and most valuable improvement in the coiistrmrtiou of the Harrow, invented bv V. M. Chafke, of Grayville, Illinois.- In this new implement the teeth are inserted iu two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow id' the teeth are made to cross the line of the direction of the harrow, and us the tooth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the harrow moves forward the leuifth of the diameter of the vvhool, each tooth has just three times the effect of a tooth iu astruight harrow, consequently it does its work fur better, and more of it. Once passing over the ground with this harrow, leaves it better harrowed than by two passages with the ordinary harrow.- It is much lighter draft upon the team, aud what must bo great consideration wtih every practical farmer, ki passing over corn or stubble ground, it keeiis itself entirely free of stalks, as by its aatiou it scatters them ou each side of it. The Inventor proposes to sell the right to manuacture these Harrows, for any given Territory either Counties or States, at moderate prices. - He will also wll single Harrows, and on the receipt of SIS he will snip a good six teet Harrow to any part ot the countrv, the purchaser paving treignt.
