The attentiou of manufacturers of agricultural implements, aud tho raisers of small grain, isinvit ed to a recent and most valuable improvement in the construction of the Harrow, invented by V. M. Chafer, of Grayville, IUiuota. In this new implement the teeth are inserted in two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow of the teeth are made to cross the liue of the direction of the harrow, aud as the teeth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the harrow moves forward the length of the diameter of the wheel, each tooth has just three times the etteet of a tooth iu a straight harrow, consequently it does its work for better, and more of it. Once passing over tho ground w ith this harrow, leaves it better lutrruwed than by two passages with the ordinary harrow. It is much lighter draft upon the team, aud what must be a great consideration wtih every practical farmer, in passing over corn or stubble ground, it keeps itself entirely free of stalks, as by its aetion it scatters them on each side of it. The Inventor proposes to sell the right to manuacture these Harrows, for any given Territory, either Counties or States, at moderate prices. He will also sell single Harrows, and on the receipt of $15 he will ship a good six feet Harrow to any part of the country, the purchaser paving freight. Address, v.M.
