The attention of manufacturers of agricultural implements, and the raisers of small grain, isinvit ed to a recent and most valuable improvement in the construction of the Harrow, invented by V. M. Chafkk, of GrayviUe, Illinois. In this nef implement the teeth are inserted in two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow of the teeth are made to cross the line of the direction of the harrow, and as the teeth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the harrow moves forward the length of the diameter of the wheel, each tooth has just three times the effect of a tooth in asfraight harrow, consequently it does its work far better, and more of it. Once passing over the grorjid with this harrow, leaves it better hamwed than by two passages with the ordinary harrow. It is much lighter draft upi.u the teaui, aud whet must be a great consideration wtih every practica! farmer, in turning over corn or stubble ground, it keeps itself entirely fref of stalks, as by its action it scatters them on rech side of it.
