The attention of manufacturers of agricultural implements, and the raisers of small grain, is inrit ed to a recent and most valuable improvement in the construction of the Harrow, inveuted by V. M. Chafee, of Grayville, Illinois. In this new implement the teeth are inserted in two self revolving horizontal wheels, by which the furrow of the teeth are made to croB the line of the direction of the harrow, and as the teeth go round the circuit of the wheel every time the harrow moves forward the length of the diameter of the wheel, each tooth has just three times the effect of a tooth iu a straight harrow, consequently It does its work far better, and more of it. Once passing over the ground with this harrow, leaves it better harrowed than by two Iiasseges with the ordinary barrow. It is much ighter draft upon the team, aud what must be a greet consideration wtih every practical farmer, in passing over corn or stubble ground, it keeps itself entirely free of stalks, as by its aetion it scatters them on each sido of it. The Inventor propoeee to sell the right to manueeture those Harrows, for any given Territory, either Counties or States, at moderate prices. lie will also sell single Harrows, and on the receipt of 8 IS he will ship a good six feet Harrow to any part of the country, the purchaser paving freight.
