YYeat dn Spring, at Paoli. Mr. Park, editor of the Princeton Clarion, on a visit to the Baden springs, at Paoli, gives the subjoined account ef the new place of resort: We consider the location of the house in which we cow write, and the country immediately surrounding, the most lovely and romantic spot it has ever been our good fortune to till in with. There arc pereral springs, all nicely fitted up, differing in quality and taste, ranging from the ordinary fresh water to that so strong and sulphurous it makes the oldest visitor exhibit a wry face after drinking it. The whole neighborhood smells with sulphur. The house is a large, commodious and well-aired one, and the fare is superb. With a good appetite, such as a free n?e of the water will give, and Jat such eating as the boarders here are the recipients of, one could almost cat a pock of meal. We heartily recommend the quarters. A Tery good company is now present, most cf them being persons from Vinccnnes, Louisville and New Albany, with a couple of Dl3TiSGrisilED risitori from J'rinccton. Last week the house was full to overflowing, but a few have gone off and wc have more elbow room now. The crops along the route compare favorably with thse in Gibson ; the com in some fields, however, being a total failure. fc?orae people alons the road arc fearful they will not succeed in raising all they shall want. At one house on a large farm, upon which was built a fine barn, we tried to buy eight ears of corn for a dinner ior the horse, but Verc told by iho owner that we could get none, as he would likely need and lmc to bur himselvcs. At Petersburg oa Sunday the citizens caught and jugged two of a large gangcf thieve?, who have, in the last few months, been committing divers larcenies in different counties aai getting scott free. At Vincenncs ca Saturday last, they caught another cf the same gang. One ef the number has turned State's evidence, and is giving a list of all his confederates, among whom are the names of persons who have hitherto borne irreproachable characters. The names of several living in Gibson are given, whom, it is said, bear good names. The three who hare been taken have all confessed their guilt. They have no hog c'iolcra In this neck of the wood', and that filthiest of all quadrupeds is a3 healthy and hearty, and lazr and dirty as though their tribe had never been visited by the scourge. The disease hr-3 been pretty bad in Pike, but not so fatal a3 in Gibson, large numbers having recovered after a violent attack. CjTThe new steamship Trinte Albert, of the Galway line, is said to be one of the swiftest ocean steamers now running. She is a new vessel having only made one tii, but in that trip she ho3 shown that she possesses the very highcat qualities for speed. Place of Worship.
