Consecration or St. John's Church. The concration of St. Johns (Episcopal) Church took place yesterilay-, the services besinninj at half past 10 a. m. The large a ad beautiful edifice was filled to its utmost capacity. The services were conducted by the Bight Revcrcml George UpfolJ, D. L.L.D., Bishop of the diocese of Indiana, assisted by Rev. Dr. Johnson, of Brooklyn, X. Y., the founder of the church in this city ; Rev. J. O. Barton, of Superior, WLj., formerly rector of the parish ; Rev. Mr. Talbot, of Indianapolis, and other reverend gentlemen whose names wc were uuable to ascertain. Rev. Dr. Johnson preached the dedicatory sermon, which was listened to with great interest hy his old friends and parishioners, and the congregation generally. Lifayette Jvurval. 2'Jth ult.
