Dlonnt, of Mobile, Ala., bv CapU Henri dc IJevicrc, who represents himself as having belonged to the famous Zouaves of the French arinv in the Crimea. It appears that Capt. Reviere came to this country last fall, and commenced lecturing incw tork on the Crimean war. This not proving sueccisful, he went South; and next figures in a due! near Mobile. He had made the acquaintance of the DIouiit family prior to the duel, and on receiving the challenge to fight, he confidingly in funned Mrs. U. a-weak-minded woman, supposed to be a monomaniac that he was not exactly what he had represented, but that he was of high rank hi his own country, the owner cf large estates, Ac, and that in ra?e 1 should fall in the contemplated duel, he wished her to sec that hi3 remains were decently interred. In the duel, unfortunately for Mr. Blount, the Captain was simply wounded. He was taken to the residence of the Mounts, and his wants provided for, until hU recovery. During his convalescence he made love to the daughter of his benefactor with decided success, and succeeded, also, in winning the weak minded mother over to his scheme. Mr. R, as soon as he discovered the condi tion of affairs, tried to put a stop to its further progress, but "love laughs at lochsmiths," and before he was aware of iL the fair bird had flown, together with her wouldbe destroyer, and her mother, to New Or leans. i hither the father pursued them, and by the aid of the telegraph, he succeeded in preventing the consummation of their marriage. On his arrival in the hitter city the entire party had taken ship for Havana. The indomitable ßlount took ship also, and reached the "Queen of the Antillas in time to prevent a second effort to unite txo fond hearts in one. lie succeeded in rescuing his wife and daughter from the hands of the Captaiu and took ship for New York, where he put up at the St. Nicholas. Thinking this place too public for his family, after the notoriety they had attained, he changed his quarters the second day, to the re.-dclciicc of a friend. Dr. DeWees. Captain Ucvk-rc reached New York about the same time the Dlounts, and succeeded in div-overing their retreat the day after thev left the St. Nicholas. The following morning about 0 o'clock, Mrs. Mount and daughter were miff ing, no one knowing where they h.nl oi. Search wa irauiediutelv institutrd but without nvai it Mrs. It. a.s known to have s-letd Xirholiu tin? nihl after thc e at the St vouenirnt, but where was the d.ni; rhtvrl She was no whore to be found. Mr. Bluunt swore out warrants for the ar rest of Kevierc fr a'dt-ting 1:H daughter 44 for the purpose of seduction and prostitu tion, it having been ascertained that Ke vierc had already wife livincr in Philadel phia. Reviere was finallv arrested at a hotel in Ilobokcn, but the landlord refused to allow the house to le searched . for the yonng ladv, so that ehe had not been found. Re viere was lound over in the sum of $1,000 to answ er the charge. Yellow Fever. Three vessels from Havanna have arrived at Xcw York, w ith nearly all their officers and crews down, or dead with the yellow fever. One of them lound from Cuba to Liverpool was obliged to put into Xcw York in distress having only two out of a crew of ten able to do duty. When the tow boat first epoke the distrtsst-d veM.-l off 8undy Hook, the Captain's wife wns at the helm heroically steering the thip for Xew York Harbor Her husband lay below in a dying condition; the mutes and all the crew excepting two men having died of yellow fl-ver. In one hour after the ship was taken in tow, the Cnplaiu also died, leaving only three persons alive on bonnl, the two foremast hands, and the Captain's wife. It eems the fever made its appearance arunn the crew of the ill-fated thip the screw! Any niter leaving port, in i's most tini!nt form. The ordinary remedies wen tried, but were found of little effect to stay the progress of the disease. One after another died, and their remains were consigned to the deep by the survivors. " The first and second mates finally fell victims, und in nine d.-tys there were none left but the Captain, Iii iff. and two of the crew. On tbe 1st of .luly the Captain w:is taken down with symptoms of the fever, and thewife. who had. until now been unremitting in h-r ttt ntions to the sick among the odicers and ere", was obliged to nur.-e her sick husband, und also, occasionally, take her position at tho wheel, while the surviving crew worked the thip. The Captain had already decided to put into Xew York, and was making the best of his way towards Sandy Hook. While he was yet able to give directions, he instructed his wife how to steer the ship. At the last dates several acs had been reported at Xew Orlean-, and fears were felt that it might become epidemic, as it was seldom that Xcw Orleans escapes when the disease raged iu Cuba. Focn Co.xTtNESTä Cmteh. .Should the Atlantic telegraph be successfully completed. Europe, Asia, Africa and America will be brought into electric communication with each other, and a remarkable progress will have been made toward tho civilLcd imity of the human race. Dr. Morse waa the f rst man to etabllh the fact that all diaeaaeg arise from IMPURITY OF THE BLOOD that onr strength, health and life depended upon thi- vital Cuid. A. J. WHITE & CO. . 50 Leonard Street, New York. DR. MORSE, the inventor of Morse' Indian Root Fills, has f pent the greater part of his life in traveling, Laving vibited Europe, Asia and Africa &f well as North America has pent three year among the Indiana of our Vcetcrn country it was in this way that the Indian Root Fill were fht discovered. Dr. Mor9e was the first man to establish the fact that all diseases arise from IMFURIT Y OK THE BLOOD that our strength, health and life depended upon this vital fluid. When the various paages become clogged, and do not act in perfect harmony with the different functions cf the body, the blood Icsea its action, become thick, corrupted and dixeased, thus causing all pains, eickneos and distress of every name; our strength i exhausted, our health we are deprived of, and if nature Is not asuieted in throwing oft the stagnant humors, thw Llod will become choked and ceaae to act, and thus our light of lifo will be forever blown out. How Important then, that we should keep the various passages of the body free aud open. And how plea-ont to us that we have it In our power to put medicine ia your reach, namely, Mor.-e"n Indian Root Fills, manufactured from plants and roots nich grow around the mountainous dilft in nature's garden, for the health and recovery of diieaed man. One of the roots from which these- pills are made is a xlorific, whlrh opens the pore of the ekin, and assists nature in throwing out the finer parts of the corruption within. The second is a plant which U an expectorant, that opens and unclojr the humors from the lung ty copious spitting. The third U a diuretic, which gives ease and double strength to the kidneys; thus encourag-.-d th;y draw barge amounts of iuipurity from the Mood, which is then thrown out bountifully by the urinary water pe.age, and whi-h could not have bef ii diicharged in any other way. TL fourth is a cathartic, and accompanies the oth-T properties of the pills while engaged ia purifying the blood; the cirs'.-r particles which cacrot p3'1 by the other outlets, are thus taken up ar.d conveyed off in great quantities by the bowels. From thw above, it is shown'that Dr. Morse's Indian Poet Pills not only enter tho toTnarh, but become united with the blood, for they find way tocvery part, and completely rout out änd clepnse tho syftcrn fr-m all impurity, and the lifo cf tin body which is the blood, becomes perfoctlr healthy; contenently all sickness and paiu are driven from the system, for they rnnn.t remain when th body becomes so pure and clear. The reason why people are so dUlrwsed when skk, and why so many dio, is bec?ie tber do not .get a medicine w hich will par to the afflicted parts. ana wnicn win open tne rntuml pnsagee lor tte disease to be cast out, hence a large quantity tf food and other matter is lodged, and the s toniach and intcctines are literally overflowing with tha corrupted mass, thiu undergoing disagreeable fermentations, constantly mixing with the blood, which throws the Corrupted matter through every vein and artery, until lire is taken from the body by dibeae. Dr. Morse's Fills have added to themselves victory upon victory, by restoring raiUi a of thctd'kto thMuiiug heä'ih'and hnppincM. f. thousand who have hen racked or tormented with sU.knc. piuo aud aMguitb. and whes! feeble fraMee have been scorched by the burning elements ef raging fever, and who hav lieen brought as it were, within a step of the silent grave, now stand ready to testify that they would have bcn numbered with the dead, bad it not been for this great and wonderful medicine. Dr. Morse's Indian Root Fills. After t-ne or two doses liad been taken, they were astonished and absolutely surprised, in witnessing their surj rising effects. Not only do they grve immediate nwe and strength, and take away all sb-k-neM, pain and anguish, bnt they at once g to work at the foundation of the diaeast-", which to the blood. Therefore, it will l thown, especially by thrnM who ue iJu-se Fills, that they will so cleanse and purifv that diase that deadly jn-my will ta!; its flight, and th flush of jouth and beauty will s'-rtiii return, and the rr.T-pc.-t ef a I'-iijr and Uarrv l.fc will e)n-rith ei:d brighten vour d?vs. t a ti.in. lieware of a eountufeit s:m1 A.
