From Mr. Coffin's statement, the total amonnt of assets are about $9,740. The total; deposits are $74,-009,-leaving due $C4,2C0. Mr. Coffin also Bays, that many notes given In as' assets, he had never seen, and did not believe they ter existed. Mr. Wooley. had induced him to become assignee, because ho was assured by Mr. Wooley that the assets were fully equal to the .liabilities. They gave their names as John Welsch and William Martin. . They were charged with stealing 25 dollars and two notes, payable to-Bushrod McDonald. Nineteen dollars and five cents in silver, and one five dollar note on the National Bank of Illinois,; payable, at Equality, were. found on their persons.
