The bnsineaw can as well be done l-cfore dark as at night. Arotio Theatre. -The Directress of thi popular place of amnacraent will take her Farewell Benefit to-night, and offer unusual attractions. Three new piece will be presented, viz: "The Myoterics of Odd Fellowship," "The Cobbler's Wife," and the glorious faree of "Sam Slick, tho Yankee Clock Pedlar." Resides all this, three prizes, viz: a keg of lager beer, a roasting pig, and a Shanghai chicken, will be given to those purchasing certain tickets. They can be seen at the theatre during the day, where tickets eau be purchased at any time. The Green River TBADE.-The steam, er Union came in yesterday with a large freight of tobacco and other produce from Green Hirer. Capt. Roberts informes us that the amount of freight to come out, now wanting Shipment along the banks, is immense, and will keep the boats in the river busil employed during the season. The trade between that section of Kentucky and our city increases with the rapid development of the country. No inteligence has been received in regard to the proposed mail route up Green River. ' The E. Sc C. Railroad. On and after Monday, the mail train of the E. & C. Railroad, will leave the depot in this city a 9 o'clock A. IL, instead of 3 P. Mi as heretofore; and the accommodation train will leave here at 2.05 P. M. The mail train will leave Terre Haute at 3.50 P. M., and arrive in Kvansville at 9 P. M. The accommodation train wi 1 leave Vincennes at 6.40 A. M., and arrive in Evansville at 11.05 A. M. By this arrangement of the accommodation trains, people from the country can reach the city at 11 A. M., and have three hours for business, and return the ante evening in the train at 2 o'clock. This beat is known, far and wide, aa one of the f nest packet on the Ohio. Her accommodations are superior in almoat every particular. Her ofKcera are calibrated for their urbanity, and in all that tends to make a boat plaaaant, aa wsü as popular, the Southerrer has few rivals.
