A Stato ticket was nominated. The customary acaolntions were adopted. Tho Cincinnati platform was ape cially endorsed and eulogised. Noboby could "prescribe new or different testa to the Domocracy of Illinois. They then proceeded to add tho important principle that the Constitution of every new Stato seeking admission into the Union should be first ratified by a popular vote; ano until such ratification of the Lecompton instrument, thoy declare themselves "unalterably op posed to tho admission of Kansas nnder that Constitution." Consequently they express approval ot the coursa of each Democratic member of the Illinois delegation, landing them by name, for "firm and uncompromising devotion to Democratic principles." To crown all, thoy added their endorsement, und pledged their future support, to Mr. Buchanan's Administration, in so far as it adheres, and only so for as it adhersa to the Cincinnati platform. hi?
