A young lady, a teacher in one of the primary schools, wext before the school committee for examination, and was so affected by the ordeal that she became insane, and died from the effects of an over excited mentality. Taulding. Walker had rented a part of his premises in which he placed a large quantity of provisions at a certain rate of storage per month. Craig also advanced the sum of 500 on security of the provisions. The pro visions were seized by order of Paulding and carried off. Mr. Craig has forwarded a copy of bis complaint to Lord Clarendon. .AJsBOcxrsa T&agxbt. A Mr.Vancleve living Marion county, Ky., undertook to whip a slave wcraan, on Thursday last, when the husband of the blackwoman interfered and threatened to knock Yancleve down with a club. The master desisted and sent for his son and a neighbor to assist him to secure and punish the blsckmsn. In their attempts to confine him the black fellow drew a butcher knife from his bos'om and stabbed vonnir Vancleve. kiiline him in 9 r v stantly, and by another thrust of hia knife mortally wounded, as is supposed, the neighbor. The ccgro was imprisoned and the excitement was intense in the neighborhood. On the une day, a negro boy in Florence, Ky., shout 20 miles South of Covington, violated the person of a young girl only seven or eight years old, then beat out her brains and threw her body into a well. The negro .confessed the deed. It was with difficulty he wes saved from being hung on the spot. But he was finally secured in jail. Tbk Bobktsox Case at EocHimi. The triakof John B. Eobertfon, of Rochester,N. Y., charged by young Dr. Bigler with an attempt to take the life of his wife, has terminated with a verdict of acquittal. On trial it was proven by the wifo herself her mother and all the inmates of the family and their frieacra, that as man and wife they had lived nroet hartrulv together.
