The Democratic pre at the North and West are speaking out boldly and plain ly in condemnation of the unjustifiable attempt of the Constitutional Conven tion to deprive the people of Kansas of I a voice in the adoption of their Constitution. The State organ of the party in this State has ventured to utter its censures and disapproval of the proceedings. The State organ of Ohio is more decided in its condemnation. The exponent of Mr. Douglas Tiews in Illinois, and the . . . . . leading Democratic papers in Iowa and Minnesota denounce it as a Tiolation of Democratic principles and of the funda mental provisions of the Nebraska Act. The Philadelphia Press, edited by Col. Fobnet,n speaks of it as an outrage upsn every Democratic profession as a tiolation of the Territorial Act of tha Cin cinnali platform, of Mr. VvcnwuCi in augural address, and the pledges of Walkeb to the people of Kansas.
