been concluded in England, m which a man by the name of Thos. Fuller Bacon wa3 acdused of poisoning his mother. The circumstances of tho case are i t i curious, not oniy irom tne peculiar history of the prisoner, for he Kad already been twice accused and twice acquitted of arson and the murder of his two children, but from the length of time which had elapsed since the perpetration of the murder and the nature of the evidence by which alone it could be sup ported The crime was committed two years ago. The body was exhumed and a large quantity of arsenic found in the stomach. Arsenic was clearly traced into the prisoner's possession just before the fatal event occurred, but it had been bought so openly and Bacon had acted so naturally on the occasion of his mother's death, that all suspicion was allayed The case had been before an English jury for some time and they finally found the prisoner guilty.
