the favorite of Jackson himself. But Majfcr Donelson at an early day becam3 disgusted
with the miserably imbecilo administration of
Pierce. It was more than any man bearing the name of Andrew Jackson, and who had been intimately connected with the old hero,
could accept under the title of Democracy.
